Need 4k tv advice...

I'm debating getting my first one. They have 4K LED, OLED or QLED. I'm debating between LED or OLED. I know OLED is better, but there's a 65 inch samsung LED for 500 at Best Buy that I'm debating getting. Is OLED really worth like 13-1500 dollars for the same size?

Also, how much better is a Samsung LED vs. Samsung 4K LED? That'll be what I'm upgrading from...

I've not delved into 4K yet so can't speak to specifics on quality perse. I just know the technology is advancing, 4k is gonna give way to the 8k or whatever, and the quality seems good across the board so I would be going for value. Is the OLED worth more than double? I'm gonna say no, but by the same token, you're a movie guy. TV is a regular device for you and movies are a premium joy so if the OLED even gives you a smidgen more satisfaction, it's actually worth it. So tough to say.

Bare in mind the movies I love are all older horror stuff. So 4k may not change much. The LED I'm looking at is $549, other OLEDs are like 13-1500.

I'd likely save the money. Extra grand will buy you a lot of steel books of Reading Rainbow.

Yeah. I think the LED $549 is what I'm gonna go with. The 1500 dollar ones will drop to that price by the time I get tired of this one.

Got the $549 TV. Didn't know I needed a 4K player. So I bought one of those. And it is like 6 inches too wide to fit on my current TV stand so I gotta buy another one of those.
