No way. Captain Spaulding was the first I really knew of him but seen more since. What a legend. And what a tragedy.

r.i.p. sid haig.

did three from hell do him proud, as (assumedly) his last appearance onscreen?

You mean was the movie good or was his role in the movie good?

The movie was worth watching, for sure. But I still prefer it ended at The Devil's Rejects. His brief moment in the film, you could tell he was barely there. Very frail and weak.

No, they did him dirty in 3 From Hell. I think he should've been the one who didn't survive the crossfire at the end of Rejects. It would've made more sense. I'm sure Rob Zombie wanted to give him one last hurray, but like a 1 minute scene and then what they do is not all that great for the character of Captain Spaulding.

According to Rob Zombie, it was Sid's choice.

About two weeks too late, but what were you guys doing on 09-11-2001?

Good heavens, pick something else. He's not even in it that long. Watch Galaxy Of Terror, Spider Baby, Brotherhood Of Blood or hell even Creature. Anything else besides that piece of shit.

I was in 7th grade homeroom, classes didn't start yet and then the history teacher came over to the writing teacher and told her the news, turned the tv on and we watched the footage. I'm fairly positive that they didn't cancel school or anything, we just went on our usual manner. Then again, it had to take a act of congress before we could get a day off where I went to school at. I mean, one time in High school they had to cancel school because somebody took a giant shit and it literally clogged the pipes. We got in class at 9 and we left around 10 or 10:30. It was kind of funny actually.

Act of terrorism: normal school day
Clogged toilet: evacuate the school, it's a madhouse

I was in 8th grade at the time. School doesn't start until around 8:00 AM, but we are three hours behind New York time, so it was 5:46 AM when the first plane hit the North Tower. I usually get up somewhere in the 6:00 hour. I remember waking up in a sort of panic right around the exact moment the first plane hit. I think maybe I was worried I slept through the alarm or something. I checked the time, saw I could get a little more sleep and laid back down. Awoke to my parents watching on the news and my Dad telling me what a huge deal this is. We checked to see if school was canceled, but it wasn't. Conveniently enough, my first class that day was World History, so the entirety of that class was spent watching the news with no schoolwork at all. By the time class started, both towers had collapsed. My teacher said we didn't have to, but if we wanted to we could take out a piece of paper and write down something about the event, anything, and just save it for ourselves. Don't know about you guys in school, but I hated nearly every aspect of it, so when a teacher said we didn't have to do something, I wasn't going to do it. Sure wish I would have. I can only remember knowing that this was a major catastrophic event and being angry with what the terrorists did, but being 13 I truly didn't understand the magnitude of the event until I started getting older and older. Naturally, I guess. But I do now, and I'll never get over it.

Supposedly he wasn't sick. Fell down, and then the docs killed him in the hospital.

A really great video that really personalizes the tragedy and puts perspective on the event.

I’m confused. Why are you bringing up 9/11 two weeks on?
