How so? Families get together to eat. That's somehow a holiday? That's every fucking day for most kids' lives(and most can't wait to get the fuck away from it). Nothing special about that. Or is it the whole pilgrim/native coming together in peace garbage? Sorry, but just about every other holiday is better than thanksgiving. The only good thing about it I can think of, is that I get the day off work. Well, that, and the handful of decent horror films based around the day.

*And I'm not trying to be an ass, I just genuinely do not understand how this is a holiday, or why anyone would like it.

I definitely think the Christmas Eve/Christmas morning window offers the most of any holiday. Thanksgiving has its place for sure though.

Happy Thanksgiving, HMF. Today, in my desert wasteland of a town, I am thankful for snow. lol.

in the interest of more recognition, someone or anyone list me 5-10 films that you think i may have missed or overlooked this year, or this decade?

Wasn't fun waking up to a power outage, for nearly 2 hours.

Watching Home for the Holidays for the first time in over 2 decades. Prime forgot to remove it (since they're slimy enough to remove movies right around the appropriate times to watch them, so they can make money off of rentals).

As Seb once said years ago, unruly dogs should have their balls cut off and be shot through the head.

I'm totally kidding though I can't speak for Seb.

Dunno, but I have seen it since. The Alien spoof was pretty good.

Don't know if you've seen these, but they are the only memorable films I've seen in the past couple years outside of the more popular shit(e.g. IT, The Babysitter, Southbound, etc.):

The Void
Baskin
Satanic Panic
Slaughterhouse Rulez(dumb name, decent film)
You Might Be the Killer(dumb fun)
Terrifier
Sam Was Here

Honorable mention: Mask of Thorn, it had a good idea, but wasn't executed all that well due to no budget and shit acting. Still worth a watch for an interesting slasher.

Sam Was Here, that was the name of that mojave desert one with a salesman I was trying to remember from a couple years ago.

I've heard very mixed things on Satanic Panic, so I avoided renting it for now, but I think it might be on Shudder now. I'll probably wath it soon.

I feel like Slaughterhouse Rulez is a play on Cider House Rules.

It’s the only treatment needed.
