Glad this week is half over.
Good crap. Everyone I know is sick right now. My mom's whole house. My sister's whole house (minus baby thankfully). I keep trying to make up excuses as to why I won't stop in. Why the hell would I come over.
Did people during the plaque invite people over. No. Don't think so. :?

Trying to convince a buddy to go to the Philadelphia Monster-Mania convention with me in March. Diamond Dallas Page and Sting being there might bring him around.

Weird is always a good thing! :P

What didn't you like about it? (just curious :) )

I finally watched it a few weeks ago after hearing all the award buzz. I wasn't really into it in the beginning but was glued to it by the middle, and I LOVED that ending with that smile on the car. Frickin' hell that gave me goosebumps. Not a lot of films do that.

i think it was a little bit heavy handed. and some of the characterization for fleck put me off. there were definitely some great moments though.

As of right now, Joker is only 6th place for my favorite movies of 2019. But Pheonix is a significant #1 for best actor of 2019 (unless we lump actors and actresses together, then I'd put Lupita's Us performance above it)

For anyone with Spotify I just started this podcast but it's right up my alley.
What did they talk about exactly?

We are due for another definitive slasher. What's the last one for anybody anyways? High Tension?

They get two people in the industry to make a top 7 list for movies. One person gets 4 picks and one person gets 3 picks but also the number 1 pick. Also each person gets a veto they can use to make the other person choose a different movie. This was a Giallo list and I really enjoyed it there were several movies named I have never seen.

there's been stuff like haunt or tragedy girls. or even happy death day. but not something serious and gritty the way that high tension was, really. (negating stuff like leatherface or some other remake/reboot)

Video of that original guy from years ago with the crutch canes. Even mentioned to my dad he might try some yoga like that to help his back. He gave me the "go fuck yourself look".

I can't help it. I wish they would call that thing something else. It's like calling it the Coorsvirus or Guinnessvirus. Just wacky.
