for the first ten minutes or so, it felt like bad wes anderson. that was touch and go. but everything after that was great.

Agreed. It was somehow equally serious and funny. Sam Rockwell and Reek made a good pairing, Waititi as Hitler was hilarious, all around fun stuff.

I rarely laugh out loud several times during a film but both times I watched I did.

In possibly the greatest year of cinema ever Jojo Rabbit was my favorite of 2019. That's is with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, 1917,Joker and Parasite all getting my grade of A+

i haven't seen parasite or knives out or 1917 yet. i expect those to be high on my list. but i think jojo rabbit takes it right now, at least as far as nonhorror goes.

Greatest year ever? Wooooow.

Good discussion point though. I nominate 1974.
