I just finished The Princess Bride book and am now watching Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid for similarities. Working on a Steve King comparison.

I feel Goldman's strength at writing is ability to give strength and weakness.

We seems to be. :D
Nooooo! Lol
Don’t worry. You can now throw us all into general disarray if you fancy. I have no laptop, just a phone which means everything I do is slow and shorter than the old days. But still love coming back in and seeing how everyone is doing.

I hate it. But it costs so fucking much to move, so I'm stuck.

Where would you go? Back to Alaska? Washington?

East coast, I always thought Maine would be pretty kickass to live.

Would love Washington, but their cost of living is getting almost as bad as California right now. Upper Oregon would be fine. Alaska would be fine too if it were just Anchorage. The other cities are far too po-dunk and dinky.

I think it cost me $3k to move cross-country(truck rental, gas, hotels, food). Rent sucks here, but it's the same as it was in florida, so no real change for me. At least my electricity bill has been less than half what I was paying, even have the windows open right now.

I figured 3k was about the minimum I'd need, and I'm not even considering hotels, gas, food, I was considering "first month's rent, last month's rent, deposit" type shit. Plus, I'd need to have a secured job wherever I go, I can't just up and move, and hope for the best when historically it takes a LONG (months) time for me to find a job. So...more money would probably have to be saved for that too, just in case.

Hopefully when I get a few of my books going in motion, I can have some back-up money flowing.

At least you could make the trip in a day, so the actual move cost would be much less. I hear ya on the job thing, though, especially now. I'm almost six months into being unemployed.

I'm pretty far down, so it would be a two day trip. It takes almost 8 hours getting from here to San Fran alone. Mostly cause of the traffic glut near the Grapevine though. But yeah, 2 days really isn't much of an actual trip.

I don't even remember what the cost of living was like in Oregon (near Portland, not lower Oregon). I remember looking when I first lived there, and it seemed almost reasonable living off of minimum wage (this was before my student loans kicked in), but I imagine it's probably gotten a lot worse since.

When I was looking, Portland was more expensive than Vancouver, which is why I ended up here instead of there. Might have been just me looking in the wrong places, but who knows.

I was looking in surrounding cities at the time, not necessarily Portland itself.

I hated Vancouver though, but that was more due to not making any friends at all there, and people loved cruising by yelling "fag" there.

Been a looooong time since I fried eggs. Avoided any oil or bacon grease like I"m used to, but this went really quick and easy. Simple black pepper, then when I had it where I wanted it (overeasy), I topped it with some shredded cheddar. Kept it Keto friendly, and this was very tasty, unlike my chili that tasted like abandonment :P

My old bass player has been on the Keto diet for a year and a few months. He went from 280 pounds to 180. He looks 20 years younger too. It's crazy his transformation. Same with his wife. She looks amazing. The wife and I tried it, but gave up after a week lol.

Also, he is off two of his heart meds now. He was also pre diabetic and now is in the clear. I'm sold.
