Day 2 with no gas still. Getting extra greasy here too, with the fucking heat on us.

As much as I prefer the cold, when it comes to water I can't handle it. I lock up.

Hi, HMF'ers. Image

Damn, D--I certainly hope you get your gas back soon!!! That sucks!!! :(

On another sad note, some very good friends of mine (older married couple, in their 70's) were both diagnosed COVID positive last week. :( The wife, Viv, has had more gastro issues than upper resp, and is overall doing okay.

The husband, Mr. H, has been in ICU since last Thursday--he has asthma, is a diabetic, and has been in heart failure since I've known him (going on 5 years now). The epitome of someone you absolutely do NOT want to catch this crap. However, in health, he is one of he most active people I know. This man is like a second father to me, so I am supremely worried about him. I spoke with Viv this morning, and she said he is struggling hard, and not doing good. Of course she is at home in quarantine, and can't be with him. (I don't have a spouse/significant other, but if one of my kids were in the hospital battling this virus, I could NOT imagine not being able to be there with them!)

She told me the doctor was talking about a ventilator being possible this morning. I'm so scared for him, considering his health issues. So, I'm waiting on word, but haven't heard anything since I spoke with Viv this morning. Praying hard for good news. All you guys stay safe, and be careful out there, okay?

All is as well as expected on my front. I work in an industry that leads me to believe that I will almost certainly come into contact with COVID at some point, and I live with some family who have health issues that, as you indicated, would be inadvisable to introduce to COVID, but so far, all has been reasonably quiet here (not to say that my county, and the county I work in, don't have increased cases, but neither are overly populated, so it just hasn't hit me yet).

Certainly hope for the best as far as your friends and family are concerned.
