Hump Day. Working from home tomorrow and off Friday so its not bad at all.

Got a call from one of the places I applied to. It was for a management position at a gym. I've got around twenty years management experience, I'm a certified personal trainer, have my aed/cpr certs. Should be qualified by all accounts. The lady said her boss said I'd be more qualified for a sales position. I said I only have two months sales experience, and she said "as long as you're an outgoing, people person, it won't be a problem". I almost laughed. Shit like this is why I can't get a job. Fucking interview me for the shit I applied for and have experience in, not shit I know nothing about and will be terrible at.

Got my book trailer trimmed down to 92 seconds and I think I'm good there. Now I just want to prune up the verbiage some more. Still waiting on my hardcopy proofs of the books too.

OH! And some jewelry store called Sylvia Benson was testing my bank account, so now I have my debit card canceled, claim filed, and stuck waiting up to 10 days for a new card.

Are book trailers a normal thing? I've only ever seen one many years ago. It was some nerdy thing, so it was pretty good.

Saw the tweet, but how were they "testing" your bank account? Sounds like a bunch of bullshit. I just assumed someone hacked your shit. Either way, if that company actually accessed your account without your permission, that shit is illegal.

For authors yeah, but I've rarely seen them outside of the writing community. Since I'm on my own for marketing, I might as well have one.

It's the kind of scam where they test it by only charging .50 to see if the coast is clear, before charging a bunch more.
