Top 10 "Animals Attack" Films

To qualify it must be a real currenty existing animal. Mutated or geneticly altered animals are fine. For example werewolves, dinosaurs, gremlins and Critters would not qualify but giant rabbits and tarantulas would. Also new species are okay, for example the apes from Congo are close enough to gorillas to count.

So weird, I listened to someone on youtube this morning mention Brotherhood of the Wolf being his favorite film. I've never seen it.

And Tigg, Arachnophobia at #2?

I didn't really think of Brotherhood of the Wolf as an animal attack movie. And this also reminds me of Ghost & The Darkness, a very underrated flick.

I also figured King Kong's animals were too "fantasy"-ish to count. Hrmmm.

Kong is a tough one. Is it a Kaiju or a giant species closely related to gorillas?

I love Arachnophobia and it consistently gives me that creepy itchy feeling whenever I watch it.

Which also opens the door to the likes of Jurassic Park

Well there are no more dinosaurs around unless you believe they evolved into birds but there are still gorillas.
I never watched Brotherhood of the Wolf whats that about?

More than ten, but fuck it, these are good shit.

Bug Buster - Sulu, Scotty, and Randy Quaid vs. killer bugs
Mosquito - Leatherface vs. giant mosquitos
Bug - pyro roaches
It Happened at Lakewood Manor aka Ants! - tv film from my childhood that I still remember, great final scene
Phase IV - smart ants with some wacky shit at the end
Kingdom of the Spiders - Kirk vs. spiders(and he tosses a kid)
Prophecy - mutant bear
Empire Of The Ants - giant telepathic ants
Infestation - big bug silliness
The Nest - bunch of roaches
Food of the Gods - big kid!, but mostly rats
Night of the Lepus - Bones vs. big rabbits

Honorable mentions: Shark Attack 3: Megalodon, because of the line. Damnation Alley for the one scene with the roaches from Bug. Piranha 2: The Spawning for flying piranha. And so many more.

Yeah, the ants in Empire of the Ants were gigantic, so yeah I'll give Kong a pass and have to revise my list after work lol

Well I believe they evolved into multiple animals, not just birds, but I see what what you're getting at.

It's a loose retelling of a series of savage killings in France that locals thought was a werewolf, but, at least in the film, it s revealed there's a cult that has turned an african lion (if I remember right) into an armored killing machine. It's actually pretty bad ass and one of my favorite Marc Dacoscos roles, with some naked Monica Belluci. There is CGI that doesn't hold up, but other than that, really f'n good.

On the Kong controversy, it's a film about a giant ape. The dinos and shit are just secondary. The main draw is just a big ass monkey.
