I am 99.9% sure I will work tomorrow (and every Saturday). Which means I am working tomorrow. But on the off chance there is no work tomorrow, that will be aces.

Regardless, I'm staying up late as hell tonight, anyway. I can sacrifice a few hours of sleep for a Saturday work day, which is the day where it is usually pointless to even come in.

43% of the posts on this site are in the politics board. Quit bitching about politics and start bitching about the shit state the horror genre is in.
Valid point. I probably am at fault there too. :P

It is unfuckly hot out here. Not record breaking, just high 90's, but a constant high 90's with no relief. Oye.

i did another banner. i wanted to make the color part of the gif to fit the tv, in black and white, so it could go along with it and make it more obvious what i was trying to go for... but yeah.

i'm probably gonna do one for each decade, from the 30s onward. but it's probably gonna be mostly the same and you guys would probably be bored with so many that don't really vary much. :P

Decided I might just turn my graphic novel idea into a novel instead. I can't seem to get back the comic-book style illustration at any kind of quick speed, where I'm comfortable with committing to do 100+ pages, not including covers.

Since deciding this 3 days ago, i've almost got 4,000 words in. May wind up being a series (since that's really common now) but I'll see after I finish the first draft of this.

One friend mentioned, I could still put like chapter illustrations, which I totally could. Even book covers. So I wouldn't be completely neglecting the art part.

Dream, if you're lurking, how long did you take to get your first draft of your first book done?

Yikes.

I'm going to my old dentist tomorrow, hopefully take care of two root canals at once. I don't have to wake up as early though.

Just remember, if you kill someone while driving on a Saturday, they will use this against you. This is a classic "Do it if you want, but don't leave evidence that you're doing it intentionally" kind of thing.

And how long was the first book?

roughly 165,000 words (which made it get separated into two books)

Stop me if I'm prying too much. Any closer to publication?
