The day after going to Hollywood Horro Nights. Had a great time. Legs hurt to high fucking hell. Especially my left knee, which I guess is my body finally welcoming me to my 40's.

My favorite of the haunts was the La Llorona - excellent set pieces, the scarers had excellent timing, and the atmosphere was perfect. The Killer Klown haunt comes in second place.

I didn't go to the Blumhouse or the Scarecrow haunts because we didn't have time. Halloween's was good, and so was the Legends Colide (Dracula/Mummy/Woflman). The Terror Tram was pretty great and seeing the Jupiter set from Nope was cool.

The worst haunt, not because it sucked, but just because the overall story felt desperately thrown together for another theme and I think they could've done better with it. Plus the scarers's timing were waaaay off on this one. The Weekend's haunt is the runner up from the bottom. His sets and stuff were cool, but his "theme" or "story" felt like a real pretentious way of not getting over a break-up, or whatever the hell it was supposed to be. Plus the line waiting was awful. An hour and 10 minutes of listening to the same 4 songs over and over, with the crowd poorly singing along. The Weekend's was the worst line, easily.

Saw some cool shirt designs with Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstien, Dracula, and even The Mummy, but I was disappointed that they didn't have jack shit for The Wolf Man, yet he's a star of one of the haunts this year, so wtf? I didn't wind up getting any shirt, cause I wanted to support my lycanthropic heroes, dammit.

Since I didn't really spend much in the park, had lunch today at Bubba Gump Shrimp before we left the area. Good food, tiny portions, and was very let down they didn't serve Dr. Pepper. The waitress understood my disappointment (we joked that I couldn't drink myself 15 dr peppers now).
