These Canadian wildfires have made the air here funky as fuck like being inside a giant dumpster fire. How do you Californian folk live like this?

In tears. They charge us extra to breathe that shit in too, they sell it as a benefit to the sheep.
Same time, fires are so bad, insurance company won't cover anything like your home or business, so if anything does happen, you're fucked.
P Sure the Devil would run Hell similarly.

Good news: got a job at the post office. Better news: they pay more than I've ever made before. Bad news: I need to use my own vehicle. Worse news: my car won't work, so I need to find something bigger. Annoying news: I need to mod it to be right-hand drive. Fuck me news: I got more job offers in one month here than I did interviews over three years in washington. Funny news: I got to tell people I already accepted a job elsewhere and hear how disappointed they were. I've been in that position before, so it's nice to be on this side of it for once.

Red dust in the chest is typical, especially for me since I live in a high elevation desert.
When I was a young teen there was a massive fire rapidly approaching our town. School was canceled. I was so pissed at the fire for some reason that I rebeled from packing belongings to evacuate and instead played Resident Evil 2 on the N64 for the duration of the day. We didn't need to evacuate and I beat the game. Good times.

That's always how it happens for me too. Lots of offers all at once or none. Outstanding news though.Slaughterhouserock wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 9:43 am Good news: got a job at the post office. My mom is going home from the hospital today. She didn't have to get surgery because the fluid on her lungs cleared up with further tapping. Very happy!
