Disney is taking over the Alien franchise? Why am I just now hearing about this?

Yup, they own fox, which has Alien. It also means they own Predator, the Fly, Omen, Poltergeist, 28 Days/Weeks Later, the Hills Have Eyes, Wrong Turn, etc.
