I watched the original back in the day and while I remember enjoying it I have never had much desire to rewatch it often.
Seems the new trend in Hollywood is no longer remakes but sequels to 20+ year old films (deserving or not). I feel Cobra Kai has done it the best so far and Blade Runner 2049 is a strong runner up. But now I am seeing sequels being discussed for films like Happy Gilmore and others and I am like WTF.

I miss real ticket stubs. Some theaters near me are cinemark and they still do typical stubs, but a lot of them are doing paper.

Things change over time. Everything is going digital and it's what I prefer. All ticket stubs every did for me was end up in my trash can lol :))

I got a box full of a shit load of ticket stubs I went to that I may have even forgotten I saw in theaters. Serves as a nice nostalgic memory tool.

I like getting a physical stub incase I have to show it to someone, it's easier than getting my phone out but I don't save them

I'm a big fan of the first movie and it's not on that level but I still found it fun and enjoyable. Willem Dafoe was great in it

Like I mentioned above, I enjoyed the original but it's never been a top rewatch for me. I need to rewatch it again before seeing this one. I'll wait for it to stream on Max or whatever but I'll watch it eventually.
