No even saving the sheets on this one, whole damn mattress has got to go. Talk about stuffing the ballot, two F13 in the top 10? Fuck the election, #1 bullshit.

Evil Dead 2013 is one of my all time favs. It was dark, gritty and took itself seriously. Now, I do love the original and it is certainly in my top 50. But it (and especially the sequels) were more horror comedy than straight horror. The newer ones went the straight horror route and that is why they're higher on the list.
i like the new ones as well. it wasn't a jab or anything.Lazerus wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 9:00 amEvil Dead 2013 is one of my all time favs. It was dark, gritty and took itself seriously. I know that, no worries. I have had this discussion with fellow horror fans over the years. The original ED is an all time classic. Maybe it should be higher on my list. Those last 15 were so hard to choose. Tourist Trap and Dolls should be on there too imo. I really should put together my definitive top 50 at some point.zombie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 9:02 ami like the new ones as well. it wasn't a jab or anything.Lazerus wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 9:00 amEvil Dead 2013 is one of my all time favs. It was dark, gritty and took itself seriously. My mother passed away back in late 2022. My father did the same back in 2015. It's not an easy situation to deal with, or even contemplate, so you just do what you need to and keep your mental health in check, and help your mother out as best as you can.Lazerus wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 8:55 am Hey guys,
I was a bit overly negative in Jiggy's politics thread and I apologize for that. I'm dealing with a lot with my mother's health situation atm. It's a very concerning situation but we're remaining as positive as we can. I'm doing my best to stay focused but work is stressful and not helping. Good news is that I am taking some time off around Thanksgiving and plan to visit mom around that time. I hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving holiday. I will check in whenever I get the chance.
I'm sorry for your loss Jiggy. I know the day is coming and I try to prepare myself as best I can. But I know there really is no preparing for something like this. My mom is the only parent I have. My father and I haven't spoken for years and that's a long story for another day. Her situation is crazy. On one hand she could live another 20 years or more and on the other at any moment something could go wrong and she take a turn for the worst. She does a decent job of taking care of herself but she's getting older and won't be able to live on her own for much longer and this is where the conflict is. My brother is a disabled vet, he lives alone in a small place with no extra room so mom has only one place to go and that's with me and my girlfriend. Only problem is that she is refusing to leave Texas (We live in Virginia). I am willing to move back but my GF is not and I don't blame her. We have a nice place here and Dallas is a far more expensive place to live. Now mom is sick again and I feel like I'm backed into a corner. It's Just a rough situation.Jigsaw wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 9:18 amMy mother passed away back in late 2022. My father did the same back in 2015.
