Best Trilogy of the 1980's

Might be random, but I was wondering what people thought the best trilogy of the 1980's is, at least out of the three listed above.

For the sakes of the poll, I'm disregarding the 1994 television movie The Next Karate Kid and the newer Indiana Jones movies.

Truth be told, it's really hard to choose between Indiana Jones and Back to the Future for me. So I need to think about it a bit. But thought it might be fun.

Also, if any other trilogies from the 80's come to mind, let me know. These three were the first to come to mind.

Karate Kid III is pretty bad, so that trilogy gets nixed for me (first 2 are very solid though, among my favorites).

I'd probably go with Indiana Jones. Raiders, Doom, Crusade, pretty amazing trilogy.

I'm still not counting that, but I did not at all know that. Thanks for letting me know.

In full disclosure, I actually liked The Next Karate Kid, but it really isn't the type of flick that I can see doing well in theaters, even despite Swank.

This was before Swank broke out. At best she was bit part on 90210.

I've thought long and hard about this, and I'm going Back to the Future.

The first two Back to the Futures are better than any of the other six movies (three Karate Kids, three Indiana Jones), and that goes a long way to make up for the third film, which leans more toward average.

The only Indiana Jones flick I absolutely love is the third. I still enjoy both Raiders and Temple of Doom, but overall, Back to the Future is a more solid series.

I like all of the Raiders movies better than any of the Karate or Back to the Futures and I love all of the Back to the Futures and the first Karate Kid they just can't rank with Indy

I don't even think this is close tbh. Good case to be made the Indiana Jones trilogy is the GOAT trilogy if you ask me.

indy is probably the best non horror trilogy ever. i guess star wars, the lord of the rings, nolan batman, and the godfather come closest. but none of those are 80s. (or completely 80s)

I'd definitely put LOTR as best trilogy of all time.
