Why Do We Believe in ghosts ?

Ghosts are present in every major religion in one form or another, and have overpopulated the collective imagination for millennia. This is a closer look into the symbolic, organic and spiritual reasons as to why we FEAR ghosts, and why we BELIEVE in them. Hopefully, this can get some conversation s...

Re: Is Asian Horror scarier ?

My question, to be clear, wasn't whether Asian horror was BETTER, but whether it was the scariest. Sure people are scared by different things, it's all subjective etc... but asian horror has had a mainstream following in the entire world based on how scary it was not on how powerful and influential...

Re: Faces of Death: A Forgotten Legacy?

Yeah I'd say so (forgotten). With websites like ogrish and bestgore and what not, people are busier with that stuff where they've got an online platform to comment and read other people's reactions. Either way, it's gross and real, I personally draw the line between fantasy and actually torturing an...

Re: Favorite silent flick?

Anyone seen Murnau's Faust ? I thought it was pretty amazing they could manage to make the film so alive, with the ambitious imagery that was planned. The directors back in the day were so damn obsessed by their work they'd pour in ridiculous amounts of work and investment into making a film. True a...

Re: Who is Dracula REALLY ?

i feel like it started as a metaphor for aristocrats and distrust for those that had lost favor. politicians are the aristocrats of today, in a way. so i think it can fit, if you apply it that way. i think it's still just used to talk about things in a veiled way, so you wouldn't lose your head or ...

Re: Who is Dracula REALLY ?

Well as far as your post, it's selfish from me, but that's feedback ! Whether positive or negative. And there's some to say about the Dracula archetypal myth, beyond what's in the video. Some have hinted at the real life application of those concepts, the vampiric/parasitic individual in the every d...

Re: Hellraiser

big fan of Clive Barker and the franchise.

Anyone got this quite peculiar opinion too ... first is the best of course, second was good, the rest are anything from mediocre to horrible...... but just 6, Hellseeker, right in the middle there, was randomly very good ?

Hey yall

Hi ! I've been a horror fan my whole life ever since I can remember, and I'm very interested in the psychology, and philosophy of the genre. I love to have a deeper look at who the monsters REALLY are, see what I mean ? Love to discuss themes, and the symbols represented in characters, that kinda st...
