How does Discord work? I've heard of this contraption.

It's skype without the stigma and initially made for gamers. You download it and make a handle like you do with anything these days. Then you can join "servers" which are basically just chat rooms moderated by the person that made the server. Lots of streamers, as well as other content creators, have their own servers. Some servers are invite only, some require you to ask to join, others have no requirements.

For example: When I was playing WoW, I was part of a discord server for my WoW server and one for my guild. I also was part of a Splatterhouse server for speedrunning(since I speedrun SH3), a server for the youtuber/streamer MadSeasonShow(because I liked his WoW content), and a server that was just a couple guys I knew in the speedrunning community.

Essentially, yes, but with more bells and whistles and a better looking interface.

Tumblr also allows text posts in addition to gifs and porn, but I haven't been on the site in probably ten years, so I could be wrong. Haven't looked into hive or cohost, but I think they're twitter clones, like mastadon.

I noticed alot of text in the UCP was invisible since it was the same color as the background, so I changed it. It should only effect that text, but let me know if you see anything weird.

Media embed plugin has been installed(little tv icon between the text size dropdown and the "center" button). Pain in the ass since my internet is too shitty to even allow ftp to work, so I had to manually upload every single fucking file, but it's done. Now people can bombard us with dumb shit from twitter and various other shitholes. I still recommend using the youtube bbcode for youtube, though, as I'm not sure how it works with this plugin.

Good for the regulars, bad for anyone new that comes along and wants to spam us. It is possible to remove sites if they become an issue, or the whole thing if people don't like it.

Emails are fixed! That was some fucking dumb shit. And while it is fixed, the account I made to test it sent the shit to the junk mail. Still, at least the email was sent.

Apparently the emails are broken again. Gonna try to look into this when I get off work or the next time I'm off.

Apparently there was something wonky with the mail permissions causing shit to bounce back. It's supposedly fixed, but I have to wait a couple hours before trying it out. Guess we'll see.

I think their support was full of shit. Emails are still bouncing back with the same error message. Gonna dick around with it some more tomorrow, I guess.

Dunno what to do about this email nonsense. I just manually activated someone's account since shit's still fucked. I don't get much time off, so it's hard to find time to deal with support(the last time took over two hours just for them to say "wait, it'll be fixed soon").
