I guess I listened to him probably because talk on the Idol.I didn't like his superbowl halftime show because I thought it was artsy bullshit and he was all pop love songs. Wrong. Holy shit this guy has some great dark shit with a Michael Jackson/Prince tilt.

There was one pop tune of his I like because of the synthwave flavor it had, but the other stuff didn't do much for me. And it doesn't help that the same 4 songs played over and over in the line for his haunt-maze at Universal Hollywood Horror Nights last year, so it was really easy to get sick of hearing him lol.

I’m a fan too. Dark and fun. Definitely some of the most interesting pop music in recent years.
