Anybody seen Lake Mungo? It was brought to my attention so I looked up the plot outline and it really sounds quite good. Probably gonna end up blind buying it, but wondering if anyone has seen it...

Alice drowns while swimming and her family begins experiencing inexplicable events in their home. The family hires a parapsychologist whose investigation unveils Alice's secret double life and leads them all to Lake Mungo.

I really don't get the hype around Lake Mungo. When I watched it, I thought it was mediocre. Now there's all this buzz with a "super scary scene" and I'm like....seriously? It was a big meh from me.

It was good but not sweep the Oscars good. I'm a big Jamie Lee Curtis fan but her winning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for this is silly, her co-star Stephanie Hsu was much more deserving. Bonkers ass movie though that's very funny with light speed pacing.
