My politics/culture war battery on HMF is pretty much on empty. But this story blew up this morning and was obviously wrong

They're not disclosing the things she's taking or her T-levels. We don't know her bone density either. The advantage of this has the potential to be astronomical. This is a biological phenomenon and if this person is to compete, it should be against others with a similar occurrence.

She had too much test for whatever the rulings are for whatever she did before. The olympics apparently use a different standard for that, which she passed. Not her fault that there isn't a fucking consensus on this shit. And I checked her wiki page. Apparently she's not even that great of a fighter, so I dunno what all the fuss is about.

I know you don't follow sports, but undisclosed numbers when it comes to testing is inexcusable and implies there is something to hide. It is a huge deal and must be talked about especially when the literal livelihood of fighters depends on it. This is a huge issue.

You hit the nail on the head. She didn't do anything wrong, people are just calling her a man or trans and saying that's why she won. If anyone wants to complain about any of this, it should be that the regulations are not consistent across platforms(e.g. she failed the test results for a different organization, but passed at the olympics).

To answer (I think?) the question, “what’s wrong” is the entire apparatus of the online right has been raging all day about a woman who is a woman being a man. Good rule of thumb: If you see something that seems too ridiculous to be true from either a verified account on Twitter or your crazy uncle on Facebook, it’s probably worth taking a step back

Generally you can't even compete if your numbers test out of the range of normalcy in just about any sporting event. I'm all for anyone and everyone having a platform to compete, but when you have a biological phenomenon like this, it becomes extremely tricky and you have to take into account the safety of fighters. The fact they are allowing this person to compete without disclosing any results is shady as hell and if anything it puts unnecessary criticism on the person who may simply just want to compete.

Allowing people like Fallon Fox or Lia Thomas to perform is on a completely different level of horse shit though. Especially Fallon Fox. Women are just biologically not bred for fighting at all and having Fallon Fox come in with male bone density and strength and literally cracking skulls is unacceptable.
