Oooh, yeah Vincent Price should definitely be on my list. Yeah, that's the rough thing about listing off the top of your head.

In no particular order, off the top of my head: Jack Nicholson, Kurt Russell, Daniel Day-Lewis, Robert DeNiro, Sigourney Weaver, Samuel L. Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Brad Dourif, Robin Williams, Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchet, Sylvester Stallone, Anthony Hopkins, Jodie Foster, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Christy Canyon, Anthony Perkins

Clint Eastwood technically, but I lean heavier on his directing than his acting.
Christy Canyon made the cut!!!!
She has, uh, consistently entertained me :P

I think you can guess mine? :P
hmm.. eastwood, paxton, bogart, maybe? that's only three.
I guess my answer is Clint Eastwood followed closely by Bill Paxton. Nice call on Bogie, but my favorite of the early era actors would probably be James Stewart.
cool. i guess i should have got that, as he was one of hitchcock's favorites.
Carpenter and Hitchcock are my two favorite directors. I think Carpenter may edge Hitchcock for #1.

I'm kinda half assing a Clint marathon. The only movie I don't have with him in it is The Witches and that movie looks like ass anyway. Where Eagles Dare is next up.

Nobody talks about Mitchum enough. His Cady lives in the shadow of DeNiro but for my money he's not too far behind.

i actually can't decide who my favorite director is. but neither carpenter nor hitchcock are bad picks at all.

If you combine the dual occupation of actor/director, I can't imagine anyone on Clint Eastwood's level. Unless I'm missing someone glaringly obvious, he's the only guy I can think of where you can argue he's the best actor or director ever.

John Carpenter is definitely my favorite director.

Spielberg, Mann, Nolan, Ridley Scott, Scorsese and Cameron would probably make up my magnificent 7 of directors.

Kubrick and Hitchcock are also on the high marks. If pushed, I'd put Sam Raimi in to fill out the top 10 for now.

Gibson's a pretty fantastic director, and I've always liked his acting. He's the only one I think could compete with Eastwood for the actor/director combo level.

Directors is too hard.

Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, Howard Hawks, John Carpenter, John Huston and I feel like I’m disrespecting a dozen legends

Wish John Huston had more big acting roles. 1 of 1 presence.

His whole 10 movie thing is built on the BS premise that directors suck when they’re old. That was more (still not but more) true when the Golden Age guys tried to extend their careers into the New Hollywood era but now? lol Scorsese can’t stop making masterpieces

I understand his approach, but he's gonna beef out number 10, it's gonna rock the shit. He's gonna be sitting back with good ideas and what is he just gonna not make another movie? He's holding back his own legacy with that mentality, in my opinion.
