Headhunter wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 11:17 am The unstoppable Imane Khelif has 9 losses to other biological women as a boxer and competed in the previous Olympics without anyone caring. But now everyone is a raging mouth breather and some whiny Italian had to be overdramatic (big surprise there) after losing in embarrassing fashion.

I like how there is also zero evidence that she has XY chromosomes but now everyone who said she was trans has moved on to that
I didn't know who imane was until two or three days ago either. Nobody would unless they follow female boxing closely and nobody really does. But even so, the IBA did their test in 2023 to determine Imane has an unfair advantage over competitors in the women's division and barred competition against females, but did not do so against male competition.

There is overwhelming and compelling evidence but people choose to ignore it and would rather believe what fits their personal purview. As far as winning gold, this person is very likely going to win it if there exists male bone density and musculature inside that body.

I certainly have sympathy for both situations. A woman having to compete against a male body that happens to have female genitalia, and I simply can't imagine living the life that Imane has lived. It just simply isn't fair for that person to compete against women and to hardyhar at the woman who quit given the situation is kinda fucked up imo.
if she wins. she fought hard to win and deserves the gold. if someone bests her, as has happened in the past, then they deserve to win and take the gold. i hope whatever the case that all involved can continue to have a career in boxing and don't fall into the temptation to push political agendas in the future.
I don't think you can avoid politics when you have a rare case of someone born male and having female genitalia performing against women. This person chose boxing as a career and has an undeniable physiological advantage over every competitor that steps in the ring. I'm not rooting for or against this person, but the IBA was correct to prohibit competition against females.

that's fine. i am opposed to people being treated like shit. women are going to be fine through this. angela carini and the other competitors who face imane khelif are probably going to be fine. if they aren't, it's the wear and tear of their chosen profession and hers too. no one is even thinking one bit about the damage that khelif also takes physically because she's a "man" or "too manly", trans people continue not to be fine, and this will bring more hatred and bullshit onto them and onto intersex people too, apparently.

the iba should stop dicking around and release the results so that she can compete or be barred without stupid shadiness going on. and if that's too late, as it relates to the 2024 olympics then they should release them so she can be vindicated or face penalty. again stupid shadiness on the part of the iba.

You can't just say that women are going to be fine through this. If you mean they won't be dead, yeah, probably not. But to suggest that anyone in the future who happens to get seriously hurt after fighting Imane is the result of wear and tear is playing favoritism.

As I said earlier, the IBA likely did a karyotype test, which is a confidentiality issue. They can't just release something like that publicly without her consent. So the IBA is not being shady, the olympics are being shady by actually measuring her T-levels (which the IBA didn't even bother with before banning Imane) and then containing the results from the public. That is a completely different can of worms than the karyotype results.

i meant women as a group in this country, not only women that face khelif.

if the ioc can release results to the public without her consent, then why can the iba not do the same, or at least release them to relevant organizations such as the ioc?

karyotype is a chromosome test, right? didn't the ioc state that she was xy? so they released "confidential information" but won't or can't release the whole results? i am also hearing that she had been disqualified because testosterone results were too high. who did those tests? was that the iba? looks fishy. explain it to me.

another fighter is caught up in this same iba crap too? release the results!

We're talking about different tests and results here. One test measures t levels, the other test would check for chromosomes to determine sex. We know that the IBA did an undisclosed test (very likely a karyotype test, where they are legally prohibited to even say what test they administered), and that the undisclosed test determined that this person is only allowed to compete against men. That is straight from the mouth of the IBA. They didn't even bother with a T-level test since they banned this person from competing against women. The only way they would even bother with a T-level test is if Imane agreed to compete against men. Athletic commissions are all different and have spent decades trying to perfect the legality of all of this. A karyotype test throws a wrench into everything since it's so rare and almost never done.

My best guess here is that legally, each fighter is probably informed of what the other fighter's test results show on any type of test that is administered before a fight. I believe that even if a karyotype test is done on one person, the other person has the right to know the results despite it being a publicly confidential test. But I'm really not sure. The real shadiness lies within the Olympic committee for actually administering a test to measure Imane's T-levels and not releasing them at all. I don't even think Angela Carini (the opponent) knew what they were.

I don't know if the IOC stated Imane had XY or not, they would probably have to get permission from Imane to release those results publicly. And that would mean they did their own karyotype test on Imane and still allowed competition against females, while also not disclosing the results of Imane's T-Levels making it even extra shady.

someone leaked to the press (if not to the press then the public got them somehow regardless) that imane is both xy and has elevated testosterone levels that disqualify her from competing against other women in the olympics. who did these tests? that is what i want to know.

you're speculating about the karyotype test. and again it was stated somehow to the public that she was xy. how did that happen, if there is tight confidentiality?

if angela carini did not know the "measurements" (which should include these results) of imane khelif, that is shady. but that is entirely your own speculation. again again ( :P ) someone stated to the public that imane khelif is both xy and has elevated testosterone. where did that information come from, if not directly from some test that she underwent? if it did come from such testing, who did the testing? and who released bits of those results breaking your supposed confidentiality?

I had no idea that someone leaked the results of her karyotype test. I simply stated that this is the very high probability of the type of test that was done on Imane, based on the IBA's decision to implement a ban on competing against women. No other test would yield such a decision.

As I did state earlier, it was my best guess that information was likely withheld from Angela by the olympics. So yes, that would be speculation. I never said it was fact. But even if the olympics told Angela that she would have to compete against someone with an unfair advantage, it forces Angela to either quit the olympics and put to waste all the work she put in her entire life to compete there, or go in there knowing she has to compete against someone with a drastically unfair advantage and likely get pummeled. An absolute lose-lose.

I'm basing my opinion on the IBA's findings. They administered a test (which was almost certainly a karyotype test) that determined she would only be allowed to fight against men. There is no other test on the planet I'm aware of that would generate such results unless it was a karyotype test.

So I am of the opinion that if Imane or any other person has XY chromosomes, then competing against females should be prohibited.

then it should be across the board. any athlete who is trans or intersex or chromosomally different should not compete against others of the gender they identify as. man or woman. as it should only be on the basis of physical advantage and bodily harm and not on the "dreams" of the athletes that they're facing. otherwise it is favoritism of some sort at play.

I can't speak to the favoritism bit. But yeah, at the end of the day this is a major safety concern.

Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion

Since there's a love of conspiracy theories, apparently the IBA has ties to the russian mob. After this lady beat an undefeated russian boxer, the IBA suddenly announced the test results, disqualifying her and giving the win to the russian. They're also apparently banned by the olympic committee due to corruption. That being said, I wouldn't call them a good source for any information on anyone.
