NBA 2023-2024

All sports. We don't even mind if its women's Curling or junior badminton. Although we won't have strong opinions on the latter.

End of the 3rd quarter I shut the game off. Not gonna watch them choke the game away.

Much less difficult to handle a loss when you just shut off the choke job early and check the score later.

This loss stings worse the next day. Worst weekend of all time for Colorado sports fans. Both the hockey and basketball teams (who are in championship or bust mode) get eliminated in as heartbreaking fashion as you can imagine. Doesn't get more rough than that.

To add insult to injury, the Rockies are probably the worst team in baseball and were swept again over the weekend and the Broncos are in rebuild mode as we're approaching year ten of playoff drought with a rookie QB who has all sorts of question marks.

Been a fan of Colorado sports my whole life and when you count all 4 major sports together, this is the most I've ever suffered.

On the flip side, two championships since 2022 is pretty great.

Yeah and the Nuggies finally getting one was huge, really wish my grandma was alive to see that. This year sucked, wouldn't call it suffering yet. Still waiting on the friggin Rockies to make us grand slam champs, fuckers.

if fans in Colorado want the Rockies’ situation to ever improve, they have to stop going to games. I get it, Coors on a summer day is heaven. That’s why attendance is always high and the Monforts rake in the cash which tells them they don’t need to change anything. I want to start seeing those bleachers emptied out outside of some “Sell the team” banners.

The debacle with the Rockies is if fans stop going to games, it opens the door for the Monforts to do the Major League thing and try to move the team. Which is the worst possible outcome. Not likely. But still a possibility. Ownership has clearly had a moderate interest in winning and one thing where everyone is unified is the Monforts selling. Maybe Kroenke can buy them.

Bill Walton died. Perhaps the best basketball commentator ever, yet, twice the man off the court.

Legitimately incredible human being. Sad day for humanity.

National Champion multiple times, NBA Champion multiple times, MVP, Sixth Man. What a career, and I think his passion for music was something just as cool. A deadhead through and through. What a life. R.I.P. Bill

Well, glad that season is over with. Everything is over except Lakers fans whining about the Nuggets and acting like they would have beat the Wolves, beat the Mavs and beat the Celtics in the finals. The only thing they can beat is a fucking dead horse and that's all they've been doing.

My sources are telling me Russell Westbrook is about to be the Nuggets’ new backup point guard.

I've seen that and saw Klay Thompson in Denver having dinner, but he likely won't meet the low price needed to play for them since they'd be over the cap.

Klay just has family in Boulder, it was discussed but they can’t afford him. Westbrook is coming to Denver and it’s a move Jokic has lobbied for.

For all of Westbrook’s faults his ball handling, downhill attacking, athleticism, energy, attitude and experience are all things the Nuggets will need next year. He just can’t shoot

I've always liked Westbrook. Klay off the bench draining threes would've been my preference, but I was never even hopeful. Westbrook would make a great 6th man with Jamal, though. Especially if he leaves his ego at the door.

Steph hitting four threes in a row to close out the gold medal game was incredible. End of an era with LeBron, Steph and KD being the best American players of the last decade-plus. Next generation at this point isn’t even close to what they have achieved and none of them look like obvious all time greats right now

Watching France bite and overcommit on every fake three and leaving Curry wide open is so satisfying. The last 3 with 30 seconds left and two timeouts was easily the shot of the game. Dormir vous? 8D
And watching LeBald continue to play at a level as good or better than anyone not named Nikola is incredible. He's gotta be the GOAT. Or Larry Legend. Or maybe Mike. I don't know.

Glad my fat Serbian hero carried his team to a medal too.
