Re: TNA - Thursday Night IMPACT Discussion Thread
TNA is still around? lol
No, I don't watch them nor AEW. They aren't even in the same league as WWE. The only real and legitimate competition WWE ever had was WCW and even then they were only competitive from 1996 to early 1999. After that they rapidly declined and were later bought out. WWE is the dominate force in wrestling and I don't see that changing anytime soon, if ever.

The 2 companies did a merge, of sorts. For example, NXT. You watch that? You will see TNA wrestlers show up in NXT and vice versa, NXT wrestlers showing up in TNA
The real question, when will WWE and AEW merge?
WWE could help AEW like they did with TNA
Plus, Shane McMahon is coming soon to AEW. Yes, I want Shane to buy AEW.

I don't watch NXT only the main roster but I am aware of the partnership between the two companies, I was being sarcastic.FallandPray wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 10:22 amWWE made TNA relevant again.Lazerus wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 10:02 am TNA is still around? lol

As for AEW, that company is a shit show. And why would WWE help them or buy them out? There's no strategic advantage or any other advantage to WWE from a business stand point. As for the rumors of Shane buying AEW, there's no evidence of that it's just pure internet speculation among fans based on some comments by Vince Russo and I would take anything that guy says with a huge grain of salt!

Well, AEW made it loud and clear that they want nothing to do with Vince McMahon.
Shane McMahon comes in and let's say he buys the company. He could merge with WWE or even sell AEW to (TKO) who owns WWE.
There is even speculation that ECW, and even WCW, could come back.

Re: TNA - Thursday Night IMPACT Discussion Thread
Shane hasn't proven to be very good at business, he's had multiple failures over the years. His sister has the business brain in the family and she won't go anywhere near AEW. That's not to say Shane wouldn't try but the real question then is if Shahid Khan would be willing to sell AEW. A merge with WWE is even more unlikely and why would TKO buy AEW. What value does it have to them? Footage of CM Punk, Mercedes Mone, and Jade Cargill? That IP alone is not worth the investment for TKO. Most of the AEW roster poorly trained and the rest is former WWE talent they released and I doubt Bryan Danielson or Joh Moxley would be willing to return to WWE (and good riddance imo).
And No ECW and WCW won't be coming back. WWE owns the IP to both and they are booming right now. Why bring back two failed companies? They tried once already with ECW and it never got them an ROI. So yeah not happening.

Well, as Jon Moxley said in an AEW interview, "(AEW) is not your company anymore."
He was making reference to Shane McMahon.

Don't be listening to Laz. AEW is the best saggy tits to drop below the waistline. May not be the best in the biz, but they keep you warm when the high maintenance hussy ain't putting out.
