Saw a map that showed something like 70% of the state in the vacuation zone. If that's accurate, that state is gone like vinly.

It is also a Category 5, meaning the strongest hurricane on scale. I cannot imagine sitting in my home right now under average weather knowing a literal monster will be here in hours.

I wonder how many managed to make it out. I imagine some will literally be stuck on the highway when the storm hits, which I can't imagine will be good for them.

Florida is fucked, both in the next week and in the future. Whatever gripes we have with the states or countries we live in, Florida is actually going to be uninhabitable. Insurance companies have been on this for a while.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

My Pops retired today. He'll be 65 next week and is hanging it up for good. Never known anybody who worked as hard as he did for the people he loved. And everybody I know works hard for the people they love. He's a different breed. The GOAT!

Been trying to convince my remaining friends that live there to get the fuck out to no avail. One has a family and business, so he thinks it'd be too difficult to uproot. The other is taking care of his mom who doesn't want to move, despite her house getting destroyed in the last hurricane that hit there. Thankfully they're south of the worst of it, but it'll still be bad.

I never evacuated in the almost forty years I lived there. Not saying it was the smartest decision, but it's pretty common for locals to wait it out.
