Immaculate's act 1 is better, but I definitely think First Omen's following two acts overcame it. Weird how they came out like two weeks apart from each other, though I know Immaculate's script was circling around for many years, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a little peaking-at-others-homework when it came to First Omen.

I went in completely blind when it hit theaters a few months ago, had no idea who he was in the movie until a scene kinda late and I was like "Is that who Nicolas Cage is playing?"

Lol. I was expecting to see him pop up as a regular dude at some point in the movie.

i feel like it has to be more than jump scares because it's done that way in most movies and tv shows. not just with horror. i think the biggest gripe about it has been with christopher nolan and he hasn't done a horror yet. but he should.
