I don't think my credentials are in much question, though, save Asian horror, which I've minimal interest in. I've almost seen every horror movie that came out between 1913 and 1930, so that has to count for something.

Not sure if it counts as a quote, but from The Magician (1926), I always loved this intertitle - "This is the song of the wheel that spins: "Who loses today - tomorrow wins!"

Context is that it's introducing a gambling house, and the obvious pro-casino lyrics always crack me up.
