For me, I heard about him being a smug prick early on, so watching him in subsequent movies, it just seemed to shine through. But more so, I never found him to be particularly funny. Same thing with most of Bill Murray's stuff.Jason wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 10:15 pmI've heard that. But his comedic style in general doesn't strike me as unbearable. When I think unbearable I think of the wild ones.DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 10:07 pmI think it has more to do with him behind the scenes as being one of the biggest pompous asses in the industry. Almost everyone hates working with him.
That said, I can't really think of any unbearable comedic actors for me.
Now my favorite Chevy from memory might actually be Nothing But Trouble, maybe it's the horror/black comedy aspect but I remember that movie being dope! And I remember that being Aykroyd's baby and he's the real genius of those crop of SNL guys, imo.

And the one that is semi-horror is not on your list? The fuck you doings...
Add My Fair Lady and Wait Until Dark for me. Although I only really remember the Harrison Ford Sabrina.

Nothing But Trouble is great despite Chevy. He's the least memorable part of the film.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:40 am Now my favorite Chevy from memory might actually be Nothing But Trouble, maybe it's the horror/black comedy aspect but I remember that movie being dope! What are you playing? I need something, there's nothing out. I got sessions started of Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk2077, Ghosts of Tsushima, RoboCop Rogue City, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, Halloween and Ash vs Evil Dead, and WarHammer 4K goings, so slim pickins. Where's the GTA juice on the streets, Tigg?

For a shorter game, check out Iron Meat. Old school run and gun similar to Contra.

That's funny, I have found I do like shorter games. I keep finding myself going back to old school arcade beat em ups etc. because I can beat them in like 6 levels.

I just don't have the time to commit to longer games these days. Used to love a good rpg that would take 40+ hours. I've been playing Castlevania: COTM for the past two weeks. I have less than four hours of actual gameplay in that time.

if you want to see a live action black and white cartoon done in a silent movie kind of way go watch hundreds of beavers. i may grow to like it but i was kind of put off a little bit on first viewing.
