Terrifier 3. Really enjoyed it. Didn't care for the end bit with the present(just silly) and what she does with the sword(idiotic thing to do), but everything else was good.

I could not get into those films for some strange reason. I don't know what it is about them but I struggled to stay focused on the first one and was bored with the second one.

Krazy House. This did not go as expected. I thought there'd be more gore and horror. Instead, it's just absurdity. There are three aspect ratios: one for the show, one for when Nick is losing his mind, and one for real life. A bit weird, but not off-putting. It's exceedingly slow, to the point where you're just begging for the violence to finally fucking happen. The last twenty minutes are full of random weird shit. Reminded me of 80's satires like Top Secret, but not as funny. That said, it's got some fun bits, and isn't that long, so it might be worth a watch if you like Nick Frost or Alicia Silverstone.

Azrael. Interesting, I guess, but it didn't do much for me. Maybe because I'm ignorant of religious stuff, but I just didn't get it.

Stream. A group of killers in a hotel stream their kills for a gambling site. Lots of talent involved in this; Jeffrey Combs, Danielle Harris, Tony Todd, Dee Wallace, Bill Moseley, David Howard Thornton, Felissa Rose, Mark Holton, Tim fucking Curry, and Damien Leone on effects. Several of those are just cameos, but still(Tony Todd's only there for a couple minutes, but he kills his part). Not the most original idea, but it works. Some of the acting is ass(the dad/protagonist is the worst), some of the writing is bad, some of the decisions make fuckall sense. I still found it entertaining enough. Worth checking out for the cast alone.

Lost After Dark. Set in 1984, a group of teens get stranded at night and decide to check out an abandoned house. I was digging it until about an hour in where it pretended like the film melted and cut ahead a bit. Fucking annoying. There's an eye scene that would make Fulci happy, but most of the gore isn't very prominent due to it being dark. Despite the weird edit, I thought it was decent. It's an 80's style cannibal slasher film, so you know what to expect.

Gladiator II .................... A-

Sure, it's still unnecessary, and the lead isn't captivating, but he is better than he came off in the trailer, and the supporting cast more than makes up for his lack of general charisma. I do think it's flimsy how they set Lucious up, but they dont' dwell on that backstory for long and they get right to the spectacles. The arena shit is absolutely spectacular to watch, I highly enjoyed Denzel's rise of a villain in this (and fully expect him to be an Oscar front runner this upcoming ceremony), and a twist that confirms what was suspected in the original film (well, part of what was suspected). A good time.

Hans' touch is missed though.

The Order - A-

This movie rocks. Very Michael Mann inspired cops and FBI vs white supremacist bank robbers story set against some stunning Pacific Northwest landscape. Equal parts exciting and unnerving. Just a really solid crime thriller.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

1 - Oppenheimer (9.5/10)
2 - Dunkirk (9.5/10)
3 - The Dark Knight (9/10)
4 - Memento (8.5/10)
5 - Inception (8/10)
6 - The Prestige (8/10)
7 - The Dark Knight Rises (7.5/10)
8 - Interstellar (7.5/10)
9 - Batman Begins (7.5/10)
10 - Insomnia (6/10)
11 - Tenet (5.5/10)
Caught a late night IMAX showing of Interstellar last night and I think I would bump it up to 5. Was the only one since The Prestige I didn’t catch on the big screen and it made a big difference. Really moved me. Beautiful movie.

Late Night with the Devil - 7.5/10

Great gimmick, really loved it until the last 10 minutes kinda breaks kayfabe. I still appreciate the swing it took and the overall creativity.

I'm a little less critical of the kayfabe but I understand that. I thought it was one of the best horror flicks of the year if not the best.

They go all in with the found footage 70s late night show gimmick until the last 10 minutes.
