This past weekend both of us weren't feeling all the great so we decided to just stay home and get caught up on movies and TV shows.

So we finally got around to watching Possession (1981). It wasn't a terrible film. It certainly had some disturbing moments. But, Overall it just wasn't for me. My gf didn't like it either.

Next up - We also watched the new Beetlejuice movie and while it was fun to see Michael Keaton and the other cast back in their roles I was disappointed. I mean the original was never one of my favorite films but it was good and has stood the test of time. But this new one, idk it just felt like a sloppy follow up that was pasted together. The main antagonist ended up doing nothing and was easily defeated. The special effects were slopy compared to the original, there are many scenes that just had me rolling my eyes and, when you add in the underwhelming finale, it felt like I wasted my time.

And lastly Deadpool & Wolverine - This one surprisingly kept my interest and mostly because it has Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. (Finally in his costume and mask!). The movie wasn't as cringe worthy as the other Deadpool films. It does have it's stupid moments but that was to be expected. Overall it was worth the watch and will get a rewatch someday. It was great to see Huge in the Mask and costume! The fight scenes between the two characters did not disappoint.

And we're continuing our rewatch of Lost and Six Feet Under.

The script was just poor. The stupid cartoonish flashback showing how Charles Deetz died was unnecessary. I mean I can understand why they didn't want to bring Jones back but come on, they could have at least hired an actor that looked similar or whatever. The weeding scene (especially the singing part) was just annoying. Ryder's acting skills haven't improved with age. William Defoe's head piece looked terrible. I could nick pick more but considering it took 30+ years to make this film and it was directed by Burton on top of that...yeah it was disappointment.

I was half expecting that to be a cover version of Undun, by The Guess Who.

I've heard this Weezer song 100 times though and never knew the name of it. lol

Wow, The Substance scored 5 Golden Globe nods. I'm fine with it competing as a comedy, as it is funny in the same way Re-Animator and Hennelotter movies are.

Dennis Quaid should've gotten a supporting nom though.

Ordinarily I'd say Demi might have a shot at winning, but we all know exactly where that trophy is going.

Should be Mikey Madison.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

the substance is pretty cool if you're into body horror and don't get too hung up on certain details not exactly making sense.

Well if it's anything like Possession then I probably won't care much for it.
