So they crash a plane. Miraculously, almost unbelievably, everyone survives. Then CBS News gives a pat on the back to the people responsible for the crash for not killing anyone in the evacuation process?zombie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 5:40 pm https://www.cbsnews.com/news/delta-air- ... stigation/
"I want to express my deep appreciation and thanks for the crew on board the plane. Our Endeavor crew performed heroically, but also as expected. This is what we train for," The fact that they were able to evacuate that plane as expeditiously as they did under extreme conditions coupled with the fact that all 80 people walked off the plane with limited physical injuries was really a testament to the safety that's embedded in the systems."
here, here! may all dei hires or otherwise handle every bad situation so well.
"This is what we train for". Perhaps train to routinely land a plane without blowing it up?

we really should have waited for all of the information to come out before jumping to conclusions. that is usually the refrain from the right, but not today.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:03 pm Do we know they are responsible? Mechanical and electrical failures happen.

also possible that there is hesitancy of releasing names of the pilots or crew if they are women, out of fear or concern for their safety.

I guess we'll have to swing back to this once we finally know some shiz. Don't you forget, zombs. There better not be one fucking male pubic hair on that flight.zombie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:26 pmwe don't know anything about who was involved on this flight. only that endeavor promoted that way on tiktok videos.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:21 pmDo we know it was completely "unmanned"?zombie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:15 pmwe really should have waited for all of the information to come out before jumping to conclusions. that is usually the refrain from the right, but not today.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:03 pm Do we know they are responsible? Gender or race don't matter, they're lawyering up. They're gonna get sued so the name of the game right now is mum's the word unless it is positive happy details. Releasing names just means more vultures.

Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
that makes sense. also they are reportedly offering $30k to each passenger. so that's something. i don't know if that is to try to avoid lawsuits or what, but yeah.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:33 pmGender or race don't matter, they're lawyering up. They did make it home. As long as I didn't get fucked up, I'll take 30k for that rough landing.zombie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:37 pmthat makes sense. also they are reportedly offering $30k to each passenger. so that's something. i don't know if that is to try to avoid lawsuits or what, but yeah.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:33 pmGender or race don't matter, they're lawyering up. Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
who was the pilot of the potomac blackhawk helicopter, that jason described as lgbt obsessed? all i'm able to find is a man named andrew eaves. r.i.p.
Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
Rebecca Lobach. They waited intentionally to release her name so they can scrub her social media.
To be perfectly clear once again, I am very sad that she lost her life and am in no way upset at her. I am upset that she was very likely not hired based on merit, but a DEI checkbox

Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
it looks like her name was withheld by request of her family. she had experience flying (450 hours), but not enough to fly that specific aircraft. what makes you suspect dei specifically?
Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
I think anything I say will be construed or generalized by some as code for saying I hate women or lesbians or something, so I'll just say it doesn't add up for me is all.

Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
the decision to allow her to fly the helicopter was not wise, based on what i'm reading. that is human error. if it was dei, then okay. but the media needs to be careful with these accusations because it can cause harm of it's own. the media that is throwing out these accusations intends to cause that harm so they don't care about being careful.
dei is not a bad thing when applied responsibly. obviously you should not hire people who are unqualified ever. and if some people are using dei to justify hiring unqualified people into a job, that does need to be called out when proof is there. you also should not be afraid to show actual demonstrable proof because of some kind of shame or threat.
the people who allowed rebecca lobach to fly that helicopter should be held accountable. any media figures who look to use this against women being hired into the military on the whole, are assholes. simple as.

Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
also, to be fair, every time i discuss politics in here, i run the risk of someone thinking that i want to flood the american streets with fentanyl. that i want to kill babies. that i also want to make everyone gay or mutilate all the children. that i hate my race and gender. or that i'm just plain anti-american. etc. but we both have every right to state our points of view. and hopefully will listen and adjust to other points of view where we may have been wrong in our own. so don't play the victim. or at least, not the sole victim!

Re: President Donald J. Trump Inauguration Celebration
If I link to an article or Twitter post it isn't solely to represent my conclusive analysis of an event or social issue. None of us know what really happened or why the crash happened the way it did. The breadcrumbs in all of this seem to indicate to me that this woman was almost certainly hired to fill a gap in whatever diversity hole needed filled rather than her merit or qualifications as a capable and competent pilot. And if my indications are correct then the consequences of that have resulted in catastrophic death with the entirety of blame placed directly to Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Not Rebecca Lobach. It's easier to assume I'm a madman who doesn't want women to fly an airplane rather than put effort into understanding the intent of my perception of the event.
