We've got an evolutionary drive for reproduction firmly implanted in our DNA whereas women strategize stability and security based on the fact that they are limited in the amount of offspring they can bear, so they choose men who can provide resources and physical protection. My read is this entire tariff thing is intended to lead toward tariffs China. They are notorious for not playing by the rules, stealing data, etc... This will hurt them so badly.
