Mission impossible 2 is a C+ which is quite astounding considering the stylized camera work and editing are the equivalent of optical Gonorrhea.
Mission Impossible 1 is a solid A grade

When you gonna stop shitting all over John Woo all the days and watch Se7en?
Imma go watch a Hard Target, Broken Arrow, Face/Off triple feature, shitheads.

Those are all good movies probably because they weren't filmed like a Bon Jovi video
I remember really liking MI2's style & soundtrack (even the Limp Bizkit song didn't annoy me), but as time went by I did like it less and less overall, not because of the style (John Woo kicks ass), but the story that rips off Notorious in a hilariously sloppy way bugs me, and I just don't like Dougray Scott (damn we dodged a bullet with him originally cast as Wolverine).
I never saw what was special about the first Mission Impossible movie, I remember finding it pretty mediocre outside the infamous wire scene.
I did dig Ghost Protocol & Fallout quite a bit though. Didn't see the new one, or Rogue Nation. Or III for that matter.

MI3 is good, has by far the best villain of the series, and is a big improvement from 2 but it also has this weird mid-2000s TV look to it. It looks more like an episode of Alias than a big blockbuster movie.

That's one of the big reasons I never got around to watching it lol
