Actually, if he really wanted to, Hugh Jackman could easily do the role (wouldn't be the first Australian), now that Wolverine is off his plate. It would just be the first time a huge star would be playing it rather than someone not well known.
I can't think of any other good ones off the top of my head.
The only way I'd accept a black Bond is if they either completely reboot, or ignore that Bond is his real name (as evidenced in Skyfall). I'd even accept if they make Bond a code name after the white one dies/retires. It's lazy, but I'd accept it.
Oh, I do think that guy who played the Neville kid in the Harry Potter movies could totally play Bond, if they go the younger route. He's still young though, so maybe give him another decade.

Can't think of any good ones... because you're not supposed to know them! :p

The reboot already happened. In Dr. No, Bond was already a badass 00-agent. In Casino Royale it goes back to his achievement of 00 status. Casino Royale-Skyfall was pre-Blofeld. Spectre is where it all came together.
Too late to reboot it now. :p

That's "jump the shark" material for sure. I'm out at that point.

I know a reboot already happened, though the history of the previous films still trickle in the Craig material. It's not as messy as the continuity in Fox's X-men movies, but still messy

I knew Brosnan and Craig before they got the parts, they just weren't huge yet.

Regardless, whoever it is should be known as the guy who played Bond. Nobody watches Goldeneye and goes, "ah yeah. That's the dude in Mrs. Doubtfire". :p

There were those that went "That's Remington Steele" when it came out though, lol.
And as great of an actor as Christoph Waltz is, I still wish they would've cast somebody a little lesser known. He's already been in a few massive blockbuster flicks. And it doesn't help that he goes around on talk shows 24/7 acting like a dork on Fallon and shit. Ruins the mystique of Blofeld, damn it!
I wouldn't call Waltz' movies massive blockbusters, before Spectre, his highest grosser was $162 million domestic. Decent for an R rated movie, but not massive.
I wonder what the deal is with his hair. Did the writers ignore Blofeld being totally bald? Did Waltz just refuse to shave it or wear a bald whig? Are we still in the younger Bond era of the reboot and we get to see why Blofeld is bald?
Blofeld has a full head of hair in Diamonds Are Forever (I guess it could be a wig), and I don't even think he had the scars in that one either. They're continuity in general for Ernst is pretty bad, but I think that was the gag of his mystery.
