Why I grew to love the Donald and forgive his haters

It will get heated. Can't take it, don't open the forum.

Being the best treated kid in the Seventh Ward is worth jack shit. You could die any day just from being in the wrong place. They're not growing up in the suburbs.
How do you know where they grow up are all athletes from poor black crime ridden ghettos? Wasn't Kap raised by white people in an upper class suburb in Wisconsin?
What do you mean "how do you know"? I watch TV, read articles and have internet access. Specifically, I've seen the income brackets for NFL players' households growing up and they're insane.

Oh how horrible of schools and communities to give their best potential income earners the best opportunities to escape circumstances that leave a lot of their classmates dead. You have no grasp on the reality of what these kids grow up in. At all.
Not at all you should get to go to college with a sixth grade education it's only fair cause of how rough your neighborhood was.
No, because you have a chance to be a success and a high income earner who can come back and do some tangible good in the community.

Amazing how much people can disrespect the work ethic of athletes. None of us have a fraction of a professional football player's work ethic.

It really sounds like you are saying poor minorities are stupid and can only succeed with special standards. Why even go through the motions of getting an education as soon as you see earning potential get them on a field or in a gym.

Good lord. Where else in the world would Colin Kaepernick have made tens of millions of dollars? With his skills, where else would he be in the upper 1% of net worth? Where else would he have a platform to this kind of fame?

Where did I say "different standards"? If you show exceptional talent at something, resources should be thrown your way to ensure you succeed over people who haven't shown similar potential, especially when the margin for lost potential is high as it is in bad neighborhoods. Yes, they should have more opportunities and have a head start for showing early gifts. Why are you making this about minorities? Derek Wolfe was one of the prime examples I thought of and he is white.

What a disgrace it's been for the world that LeBron was shielded from street violence in Akron as a homeless teenager. Should have let things naturally take course and see if he fails, maybe deny us the athlete of the generation.

Colin had it rough and had to fight his way out of his suburb maybe his house didn't have a pool or his garage only fit one car. Can you imagine growing up like that.

People spray "nigger" on LeBron's front gate. Wealth is not an escape from America's bigotry either.

I also love the idea that you can't care about discrimination unless you've faced it personally, and then just assume nobody has personally faced it to check all your boxes and feel no moral insecurity. That's another laugh riot.
