There's a couple Christmas-based horrors that I haven't seen. Might have a Christmas theme for tonight.

Clown drags in spots, but it is interesting to see where it goes.
Plus there's kid violence, which I wasn't actually expecting.

Get Out was, for me, a deeply uncomfortable film.
Glad to see the ending wasn't something else, though.

What ending would've been "something else" for your?Jigsaw wrote:Get Out was, for me, a deeply uncomfortable film.

Something more modern (i.e. downbeat). Downer endings work well at times, but if they're overdone (which I think a lot of more modern horror films do), they lose the intended effect, I feel.showa58taro wrote:What ending would've been "something else" for your?Jigsaw wrote:Get Out was, for me, a deeply uncomfortable film.

I'm with you on that. If it was a pure downer it'd be pretty garbage.Jigsaw wrote:Something more modern (i.e. downbeat). Still the best chase scene in any horror movie, imo, when Bubba ices Franklin, all the way to Sally getting to the gas station.

Wolves at the Door
Re: The October Challenge Discussion Thread: 2017
One of the alternate endings to Get Out was him in jail talking to his airport security friend. I guess test audiences didn't like that one all too much and changed it.Jigsaw wrote:Something more modern (i.e. downbeat).
