NFL 2017 season

All sports. We don't even mind if its women's Curling or junior badminton. Although we won't have strong opinions on the latter.

Should have destroyed them. Win is a win but I have more concerns after that win than I did after the Bills loss.

This dude is the greatest cornerback that I have ever seen.

I forgot he played with Darrell Green.

Yeah. They were all on the same team in 2000 I think it was. I was reminded of that when I watched the video. Totally forgot.

It was awesome seeing Champ mentor Chris Harris at the end of his career the way Deion and Darrell mentored him.

Btw, if people had actually recognized Harris' greatness before 2014 he'd be mentioned as a potential HOF guy. Best slot corner I've ever seen and no position in the game is harder physically. He's a better Antoine Winfield.

Champ touched on that when he visited the Broncos facility recently.

I remember reading that Harris pretty much followed Champ everywhere he went during OTAs and camp as a rookie. Attached at the hip the entire time. Like Champ, he plays with perfect technique.

Any time one of these undrafted guys even makes a team let alone becomes an integral piece, it's commendable. No investment means their margin for error is zero. They have to treat every single practice like a game and really can't afford to make any mistakes unlike their draft pick counterparts who are owed guaranteed money and have roster spots secure no matter what they do.

Did you see Champ's Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Speech? I'm pretty sure he mentioned Harris being attached to his hip.

Do you remember your thoughts on the Portis-Bailey trade as it happened?

I haven't but I'll check it out now. Thanks for sharing.

It's kind of funny that they could never find a #2 to pair with Champ for years. And now they have three studs.

NFL HOF is a horrible joke. Many, many amazing players who get overlooked because they lack stats. If he did not play for a team that went to a couple SB's, he would probably still be virtually unknown.

So many great defensive players especially who did not get the sack and INT numbers for one reason or another get forgotten.

Initially I was pissed off. Portis was such a joy to watch, I thought he was about to break 2k for us. And it just felt right drafting him the same year TD retired. So I was a little gutted just as a fan. Then I saw Champ completely erase Tony Gonzalez from a game.

I do.

I thought Champ as a top young corner was clearly the guy in that trade, especially with the Broncos having the reputation of making running backs better. I think the only X factor for me was how much you were going to have to pay Champ, as his contract was looming pretty big. At that time, I worried a lot about a CB consuming so much of your payroll.

Also, draft position/college hype is a big factor. It gives you a pretty big head start for media recognition. Everyone is always a year or two late on the surprises.

It was a monster deal. Would be 20 million a year in today's cap. The market today is capped at 15.

We talked about this before but it was that rare second contract that neither the player nor team ever tried to mess with. Seven years on that deal, no disputes of any kind. Amazing.

I was in my mid-teens during the Portis-Bailey trade. I only vaguely remember being kind of numb to it and not knowing how the hell to react. Portis was clearly the guy and we sent him packing after his two best years. I was just kind of like "WOW... Ok..."

Great trade. Totally fun trade, and as the years went on, it became clear that Denver was the big winner in it.

I don't think a trade like that happens in today's NFL. Second round pick and the best corner in the game for a running back just seems insane now.

It would be like Harris and 2nd rounder for Le'Veon Bell.
