Hey, at least he gave them some paper towels to help clean up their mess!
Honestly I am not surprised. Just perpetually disappointed by it.
I read he brought in BBQ ribs for everyone and that is why he was passing them out. Good call.
Does it not bug you that he is so devoid of basic human decency?
lol, I do want to know if there is anything more behind this. I did say to the broskis at work after the quick read and such I had on it "what the fuck is wrong with him?". No need to bring up the budget, no need to bring up Katrina, and why are you passing out paper towels.
Exactly. It’s just such a stupid thing to say. It makes the tensions worse and makes nothing better.

He's stupid and possibly a little senile
In another prism, it could be seen as almost grade A trolling, but why are you doing it to them, they're not fucking North Korea or even Cuba or some shit. Especially to us.

He was joking. Was like somebody eating like a pig all the time and then joking the last meal was the one that made them fat. Was funny.

We have a human president who jokes and says what he thinks. The horror.

I don’t get the joke. How is saying their suffering isn’t real suffering a joke?

“Every death is a horror,” he said, “but if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina and you look at the tremendous, hundreds of and hundreds and hundreds of people that died, and you look at what happened here with, really, a storm that was just totally overpowering, nobody has ever seen anything like this.” He told local officials “you can be very proud of all your people, all of our people working together.”

*He is saying that because the people of Puerto Rico worked together, many lives were spared, unlike the situation with Katrina where it was made worse by people not heeding warnings and general poor cooperation.

Trump pledged an all-out effort to help the island while adding, somewhat lightly: “Now I hate to tell you, Puerto Rico, but you’ve thrown our budget a little out of whack because we’ve spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico. And that’s fine. We’ve saved a lot of lives.”

*The budget statement is a joke. It is the third giant storm in a row. They are working on the budget now. He ends by saying it is ok because lives matter more than the money.

So Trump acknowledges that the storm was epic, like one Puerto Rico has never seen before, and praises the people because they minimized the damage by working together, and he is criticized by the media. Same shit, different day. I am sure Melania's outfit was also criticized.

He was handing out supplies. A pretty typical presidential visit. I would assume tossing paper towels into a crowd to have some fun is better than chucking a case of water at them.

BTW, on Bruce Prichard's podcast this week he told a story about Jake the Snake ribbing Trump's wife at the time by threatening to throw Damian at her. Apparently she fell out of the chair and yelled for security to shoot the snake. Trump thought it was hilarious and winked.

What Kap should be saying:

"When I started my protest, it was because I had been seeing so many things in the news about police brutality leveled against the black community. Over time, as more players protested, the message evolved. I now recognize this is taking us apart rather than pulling us together as Americans, and I will proudly stand for the anthem if given the opportunity."

How much taxpayer money did Pence waste to pull that little stunt today? What a piece of shit.

Trump has wasted $72.4M on golf trips. So I guess this is just further par for the course.

What a relief that he doesn't have to bleed his own projects to fund his absurd lifestyle anymore and can just use the taxpayers' money instead.

Crickets from supposed "fiscal conservatives", no doubt.

Lumping those two together in terms of golfing frequency is like saying Bill Russell and Dirk Nowitzki combined for 12 championships.

Figures that you would idolize such behavior. You also like to make big public spectacles out of quitting football.
