Starting Wolf House. Had to delete a few from my watchlist because they were short films.

Reverend Lowe's one of the best. Well, not so much in suit, that suit is pretty bad (though, no where as bad as some of these I've put myself through today), but McGill kills it in his performance.zombie wrote:nope. this was the first.

I think you'll dig. Might actually be a top 5 werewolf movie for me. Extremely underrated piece.

Busted out my bottle of The Glenlivet. About that time for Burnt Offerings.

I need a good one. I'll watch Bad Moon too. Director's Cut.
Re: The October Challenge Discussion Thread: 2017
First night trying The Glenlivet. Both are so similar, but I think as of right now, I'm leaning toward The Glenlivet. Just barely. I am still new to both of these scotches, but they've quickly emerged as my favorite (besides Johnnie Walker Blue Label, of course). I've always known that people drink for the taste of liquor, when I was a youngster in my early days of drinking I never imagined I'd be one of those peeps. I guess as you get older your taste buds become a hell of a lot more tolerant. Back in the day I used to have to psyche myself up for a shot of whiskey. Now I'm currently sipping it out of a rocks glass. This is some delicious, delicious scotch here, folks. Have A Drink On Me!Jason wrote:My bottles are aged 12 years.

Too bad you dudes got Bad Moon going already. Could've done a group sesh. Oh, wells.
I'm gonna put on a couple of songs to enhance the enjoyment of this buzz from these great scotches, then it's off to Burnt Offerings.

Eh. Group sesh's are difficult to sync up anyway
The cinematography in Bad Moon is ridiculously good. Not sure who shot it, but he knew what he was doing. Might say it's the best cinematography in a werewolf film.

It's only 25 seconds longer apparently. Very little things.zombie wrote:hmm.. how long is the directors cut? what is left out of the standard version? (i assume i have the standard version)

OH! Hey, D. I bought a version of The Stand on amazon that came in the mail today. It's 366 minutes total. Wal-Mart had a 3-movie pack with The Stand, The Langoliers and some other flick. I looked on the back and noticed the Wal-Mart 3-pack version with The Stand was 359 minutes. Wassup with that? You know?

It also edits out some of the worse CGI cuts during the transformation sequence, so it's not as bad as it is in the theatrical cut.
Re: The October Challenge Discussion Thread: 2017
I'm late on Burnt Offerings tonight. Gonna start it up in a few minutes here.

Does the Thriller music video count as horror?
Best music video of all time and there is no close second.
