are illegals looking the other way to favor illegals? no. i'm blaming corruption and incentivization. that's the problem.Foo wrote:Fences and walls work the world over. we're paying to have our house robbed, essentially. so trump boards up the door, but we'll still keep paying the people to rob us. maybe open a window for them too. good system.

i wouldn't mind but it will take time. and it takes cooperation across the board. we're not there. if someone is shooting holes in your boat, do you just ignore him and keep bailing the water and trying to patch the holes as they happen?Foo wrote:Let's get the truth on the table. The wall fixes the holes in the boat. i am advocating that. as long as you can prove that they knowingly aided and abetted. (like whatever 7-11 thing before, and this washington state thing)Foo wrote:The wall fixes the holes in the boat. What about ending lifetime jobs for government workers? Trump really brought that idea into fruition. Do libs disagree?zombie wrote:no, it's not. it's a gesture. clearly some part of our leadership wants to keep illegals coming in. the wall is not gonna stop corruption.

Not ideologically. It seems like you’re ascribing two completely untelated traits based on the people you have identified.Jason wrote:You obviously don't visit America much. Anything the left does that you find shameful doesn't mean it isn't a leftist thing. This is a leftist thing.

The swamp is Washington. I think locking people up for political dissent is requires a whole different level of caution. The same reason why Hillary is not in jail. The same reason allegations agianst Trump and Bernie Sanders require such thoughtfulness by responsible people.zombie wrote:first, your boy was all about "drain the swamp", seems in line with his campaign talk. second, are they not criminals? i thought you were against criminality at any level. or is it just immigrant criminality?Foo wrote:This would mean locking up a ton of california politicians.zombie wrote:i am advocating that. as long as you can prove that they knowingly aided and abetted. accusation is not the same as knowing and having proof that they are criminals. i didn't say political dissent, though trump would seemingly like to do just that.Foo wrote:The swamp is Washington. Trump has been in office for a year. No political enemies have been locked up. No evidence he has made any attempt to do so despite being the most powerful man in the world with all the tools at his disposal to do so.zombie wrote:accusation is not the same as knowing and having proof that they are criminals. i didn't say political dissent, though trump would seemingly like to do just that.Foo wrote:The swamp is Washington.
