here's some fun that I've been dealing with:

My mom is refusing to talk to me (she says she doesn't get cell service up there, but my nieces get it just fine and she used to get it just fine and only got bad reception after I told coddling Kaye was doing her no good) because I've asked her to let my sister deal with the consequences of her actions for once in her life.

She's in denial that my sister is using drugs. My youngest niece caught my sister down at my mom's last night and made her take a drug test, which came back positive for Meth, Amphetamines (obviously), opiates, and Oxycontin. My mom and dad are fighting over it because my dad is on our side, wanting to kick Kaye out to deal with this on her own, but my mom wants to try to help her (all she's doing is buying into the excuses and enabling her, kicking her out would be more helpful to her.)

All of this going on and you know what my mom's main concern is? That my niece not post the results of the drug test on facebook because it will make the family look bad...She wasn't going to post it on Facebook anyways, but the fact that that's my mom's main worry is kinda ridiculous.

I'm unfreakingbelievably frustrated and in all honesty, I want to post the fucking results just so this shit can't be hidden anymore. I'm so sick of tiptoeing around real issues that are happening to save the family's image, cause you know what? My family kinda fucking sucks and lying about it kinda fucking sucks cause now no one believes me or my nieces when we actually talk honestly about the shit we dealt with cause of Kaye because my mom backs Kaye up while Kaye puts my mom down constantly. I'm just so fucking done. My nieces are the only ones I'm talking to right now, cause fuck the rest of them.

It's just really frustrating. I had great momentum going with writing and this shit happens and I just want to hole up in my house and cut myself off from everyone. It's all just really frustrating that my mom is choosing to not see what's directly in front of her face and is choosing the fuck up over the rest of us. I don't get it.

It's her daughter. She knows her daughter is fucking up and she doesn't want the dirty laundry to be aired. I get that, but there is a cutoff point. Your Mom needs to draw that line, your sister needs to know where that line is. Your Mom can help her all she wants but in the end it doesn't even matter your sister has the final say in the choices she makes. Only she can control that.

That's part of the problem, my mom doesn't create that boundary with her. She refuses to say "this is where you cross the line and I stop helping you."

There wasn't a line when my sister opened credit cards in my name and ran up bills on them.

There wasn't a line when my sister beat the shit out of my youngest niece.

There wasn't a line when my sister had my oldest niece committed because she started to call the cops when my sister would hit her or her sister.

Or when my sister and me got into a fist fight because I was defending my mom from her (she hit my mom, I got between them, intending to just keep her from hitting my mom again, then she hit me and my brother had to pull me off of her cause I was doing a much better job choking her than she was doing of hitting and scratching me, and my mom took her side in that too, never mind that I was 16 at the time and she was 26.)

My sister does worse and worse and my mom makes excuses for her every single time and I'm just sick of it. It would be one thing if it was *just* my mom backing her up, but my nieces tried to explain to my aunt and cousin why they didn't want Kaye staying with them (Drugs and she let her boyfriends do whatever they wanted with the girls were the main reasons) and they were called disgusting liars over it. My family is just fucked. They would rather believe the habitual liar and make the rest of us out to be horrible people for being honest and refusing to hide the shit away anymore.
