Podcasts
Anyone have any Podcasts they particularly enjoy listening to? I've become an addict, great for long drives and great for cleaning up and doing things around the house.
Can't recommend Hardcore History enough. Hours and hours of awesome detail and context of great events and especially battles in history, ancient history through World War 2. He loves to play with "what ifs" and get lost in speculation a bit. Great enthusiasm for the subjects, great first hand accounts. Just really amazing work. Again, can't recommend highly enough.
For my fellow sports fans, Pardon My Take is the best show of any kind in sports today. It's essentially satire of sports media with two genuinely hilarious hosts.

Re: Podcasts
I also have a lot of ESPN and Fox Sports radio stuff that fills my storage every day, but never listen to 99% of it.
Revisionist History with Malcolm Gladwell is pretty good. S-Town and Serial are probably the most famous podcasts made, I recommend checking both out if you like a good true-life mystery.

They can be so fucking long. The length of the shows always turns me off.Jason wrote:Joe Rogan's podcasts can be good if he has the right guest on.
Keep in mind I listen to Dan Carlin's 4-6 hour episodes no problem so it's really just a matter of prioities lol

Re: Podcasts
About two years ago, I started listening to The NoSleep Podcast. They are original/disturbing horror stories read by voice actors. I think they are great. I will give you that some stories are so so, but some others will mess with your head. They come out every week. Ironically the only time I can get to listen to them, is when I lay down to sleep at night, and have not gotten through all their seasons yet, because of that, lol. But the stories range from creepy, to downright frightening, you might want to give it a try if you like that kind of thing...

Re: Podcasts
I feel like we follow them on twitter. It feels like it rings a bell, but I must admit I don't often click through all the things I see on there. Still, good venue for horror, really. Leaving it all to your imagination.flyingspider wrote:About two years ago, I started listening to The NoSleep Podcast. They are original/disturbing horror stories read by voice actors. Gilbert Godfrey, Last Podcast on the Left, and Fatman on Batman are pretty good
Re: Podcasts
I listened to the Gilbert Godfrey with Bobcat Goldthwait guest episode to kinda be funny but it was actually really entertaining and not annoying like one would think.

Re: Podcasts
A buddy of mine does a podcast talking about weirdos of all varieties. It's called Profiles in Eccentricity. They cover everything from porn directors, serial killers, and even popes.
