How about we blame the shooter, instead of illogically blaming the NRA to make something political that shouldn't be. There is no reason to attack the NRA.
Re: Exploiting tragedy
i don't know that they are, but if supporters of the nra are threatening the victims of parkland, they do deserve to be called out and blamed for it.
the boycott going on with the nra and nratv is very petty though. freedom of speech should be upheld in their case as it should be for those on the left. it shouldn't be fought or attempted to brought down from either side.

Re: Exploiting tragedy
I have not seen these attacks. Probably false flag attacks anyway if there is any actual threat.zombie wrote:i don't know that they are, but if supporters of the nra are threatening the victims of parkland, they do deserve to be called out and blamed for it.

If it was legit anger, it would be with the police, the FBI, the shooter, etc. The NRA stuff is so phony it is pathetic.
Re: Exploiting tragedy
if you know it to be false, show me how you know. otherwise, i'm not going to make a judgment one way or the other. i did see some pretty shitty callous stuff coming from right wingers, so it's possible that it also came from nra supporters. i don't know for sure.Foo wrote:I have not seen these attacks. and there is anger and investigation with the police and the fbi. the shooter is scum and that goes without saying.

Sounds pretty unlikely. Re: Exploiting tragedy
we should all take some time to actually see where a story goes before running with it. careful that you don't spread false news.Jason wrote:Liberals, defend this:
News media (CNN of course) asked a student who shielded classmates from gunfire to write a speech and questions for when they came to the school. When his speech and questions were pro-gun, they sent him back a scripted list of questions to ask CNN. He refused to attend.

Look at him squirm at having to concede temporary failure. What a cunt.
Re: Exploiting tragedy
Good for Fox News. They could've just totally ignored it, because it is still a he-said she-said thing.
I don't watch Fox News, but it is good to know they have some journalistic integrity, apparently.

Re: Exploiting tragedy
you were trying to pass it off as fact, not just gossip. there's no proof that cnn did anything wrong or dishonest there, and the father admitted to altering the email. so yeah.

Everyone does that shit real journalism is a thing of the past. Facts are just obstacles in the way of a good narrative.

Not in Europe. Maybe in the US if you’re considering Fox News as a “source”Tiggnutz wrote:Everyone does that shit real journalism is a thing of the past. Facts are just obstacles in the way of a good narrative.
Re: Exploiting tragedy
CNN is actually worse than FOX imo and MSNBC doesn't even pretend to be honest. None qualify as news to me. I do enjoy Jake Tapper on CNN and Martha McCallum on FOX though they do seem to be very level and unbiased to me.showa58taro wrote:Not in Europe. Re: Exploiting tragedy
Probably is fact. Totally fits the CNN pattern. Regardless if this particular thing is fact, they are dishonest every day, on a far more damaging scale to humanity than this incident.zombie wrote:you were trying to pass it off as fact, not just gossip. there's no proof that cnn did anything wrong or dishonest there, and the father admitted to altering the email. so yeah.
And if CNN is totally the victim here, it's still good, because they received a very tiny dose of their own medicine.

Maybe on the TV. Still looks different in writing to me on CNN international and the like. Real facts checked etc.Tiggnutz wrote:CNN is actually worse than FOX imo and MSNBC doesn't even pretend to be honest. None qualify as news to me. Re: Exploiting tragedy
if you're cool with spreading or perpetuating fake news, fair enough. but when you call it out and blame news sources for doing it, then turn around and do it yourself and back pedal when you have the chance to correct yourself.. i don't know what else to say.Jason wrote:Probably is fact.
