The way to close the wealth gap is for them to take iniative to learn skills and work more. Have at it.

You don't have control over what happens there. You have the same tired ideas that make those areas worse and worse. The backwards idea that they will gain self-sufficiency through reliance on others has been proven wrong in every city.

Again, imagine if every black kid who spends their young lives trying to be Lebron or Dr. Dre instead wanted to be Johnny Cochran or Ben Carson. You could walk through the schools without fear.

Have you considered that "everything you do", or really, everything you want other people to do for them, is just pushing them down? All this "help" is preventing them from learning to fish. Your solution is to keep throwing fish at them.

How is that possibly the case? I’m outlining the broadest possible goals and no substance. They could easily be fishing classes in offering.
