What is everyone doing?
I'm listening to Seger and Ghost on Youtube while working my way through a desk filled with papers.

lulz @ people in a frenzy over a fake story about the new Halloween getting a test screening and bad reactions to the ending. John Carpenter already came out and said not only was there no test screening, but there isn't even a first cut yet, lol.
Re: April 22nd 2018
I don't want to jinx anything. But I have been feeling way better mentally, the last couple of days. I mentioned work had been killer the last couple of months. I'd have to leave for work a lot of days at the typical time I would be going to bed (11PM or so), then start work at a normal time the next work day (6-7AM), then start work 7-8 hours earlier than normal again the next day. Not sure if it was scoring the weekend off this week and taking Monday off last week, or maybe it's because I've been working a lot more of the normal work shifts, but I have felt a hell of a lot better the last couple of days. I can't believe how upset I was a few days ago. I'm still irked, but not mega-raged. I'm bummed about going into work tomorrow, but it's at a normal time. The main thing I feel is like I'm finally getting time to do things. I have been mentally sprinting in my head because I lose two hours every day just to commute to work. Going to the gym, making dinner, in addition to losing those two hours, plus an 8, 10, 12, 14 hour work day just eats you alive. I feel like I am sprinting just so I can dive into bed and fall asleep mid-air to get 4 hours of sleep. I think I've had insomnia lately, but I've got plenty of sleep the last two nights and I feel like it cleared my head up pretty good. Odd hours + lack of sleep + frustration in many different job areas + getting hit on my motorcycle and getting injured + not having time to deal with anything I think really has taken a toll on me the last couple of months. I'm hoping (long shot, but still hoping) that I am somehow able to get 2-3 days off of work this week. Kind of want to capitalize on this new clarity I've had the last couple of days.

I saw that spread all over facebook but didn't click because I suspected BS.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:lulz @ people in a frenzy over a fake story about the new Halloween getting a test screening and bad reactions to the ending. I am not enthusiastic about Blumhouse doing a Halloween movie. Not that Blumhouse isn't any good, I just think their specialty is solely in paranormal, visual spectacles as opposed to reprising gritty slashers from the 70's/80's.

I enjoy a lot of things in the 90's, just not when the weather reaches that point.

happy death day wasn't really paranormal, for one.Jason wrote:I saw that spread all over facebook but didn't click because I suspected BS.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:lulz @ people in a frenzy over a fake story about the new Halloween getting a test screening and bad reactions to the ending. also, creep (and creep 2) and hush are blumhouse, which i didn't know. they could pull off slashers. it depends more on the director and writer than the production company, i'd assume.

I think it's more fair to say they put more money in advertising the paranormal stuff (Happy Death Day an exception, damn I'm still sick of that fucking trailer), but they definitely dabble in other subgenres.zombie wrote:also, creep (and creep 2) and hush are blumhouse, which i didn't know. they could pull off slashers. it depends more on the director and writer than the production company, i'd assume.
