I am salty, though.
1) Because superhero movies really are taking up WAY too much theater time.
2) Because Hollywood is so fucking lazy that they can't make a competent movie anymore. They're remaking/resurrecting 30 year old TV shows now, ffs.
jokes are fine. bad jokes that try to draw from something other than reality are not fine.
Thanos does kinda look like Homer Simpson, though. lol
and no, it isn't. they draw the attention, but it is far from all there is. watch more non-superhero movies, instead of bitching about the 10-20 big superhero or action spectacle movies each year. or even in addition to it.

I'm about to cook a nearly 2-pound sirloin steak. Had to dig out a pan big enough to even fit it in.

70% superhero movies, 28% kids movies, 2% other. 2% mostly stink, too.

Re: May 1st 2018
That actually could be a thing. I've read about movies I've wanted to see getting limited releases and not full releases (because of superhero movies) that almost every time don't make it to any of my theaters. And there are like 5 theaters within a 10-15 mile radius.zombie wrote:maybe sucks to be in your part of cali. Re: May 1st 2018
support them when you can? get a group of friends to go with you, when you can? work to support other types of films. maybe other people feel like there aren't other films, like you do, so they go with superhero stuff instead. it could show an interest in the other stuff, to the theater managers and such.Jason wrote: That actually could be a thing. I go to the ones I want to see that show up. 3 other people in the entire theater went to Chappaquiddick. :pzombie wrote:support them when you can? get a group of friends to go with you, when you can? work to support other types of films. maybe other people feel like there aren't other films, like you do, so they go with superhero stuff instead. it could show an interest in the other stuff, to the theater managers and such.Jason wrote: That actually could be a thing. are your friends conservatives too? maybe they felt, like foo, that it was just liberal propaganda? or else they don't want to support the better mara.Jason wrote:I go to the ones I want to see that show up.
