you look at the trend, and what caused it to become a trend. what keeps it going. and then, you're in a better position to find a way to change it. either directly, or through voting someone who could start the change.

If the issue is discovered to be within the black community and you acknowledge that, it means you are racist, though.zombie wrote:you look at the trend, and what caused it to become a trend. what keeps it going. and then, you're in a better position to find a way to change it. either directly, or through voting someone who could start the change.

The video was posted by an obvious bigot who has no empathy or sympathy for the suffering of children.
Re: Racist White Cops Rescue Drunk, Black Toddler
first, there is no "black community", any more than there is a white community. obama, samuel l jackson, michael jordan are black. they are not, even a little bit, a part of the community that those kids are raised in. so, we can start there.Jason wrote:If the issue is discovered to be within the black community and you acknowledge that, it means you are racist, though.zombie wrote:you look at the trend, and what caused it to become a trend. what keeps it going. and then, you're in a better position to find a way to change it. either directly, or through voting someone who could start the change.

my point is bad parenting, as an inner-city trend, is just a symptom. do you look at the larger problem, or do you just use this example to point the finger at blacks in general. that is the difference between racism and honesty.
Re: Racist White Cops Rescue Drunk, Black Toddler
Imagine if the majority of the black community raised their children normally... You have to start somewhere, why not start with where we know there is gaping problem? Instead we're afraid to address the issue for fear of being branded a rassist.zombie wrote:my point is bad parenting, as an inner-city trend, is just a symptom. do you look at the larger problem, or do you just use this example to point the finger at blacks in general. that is the difference between racism and honesty.
That is the honesty I'm talking about. Imagine if Detroit elected a highly respected black governor who made a speech about doing his part, but the community needs to do an equal part of coming together and not murdering each other every day?
If MLK were alive today he could echo my exact sentiments and everyone would jizz their pants. A white person saying these things will not be nearly as impactful, even if everything said is true.
Re: Racist White Cops Rescue Drunk, Black Toddler
you seemingly only want to address the issue because you can use it to justify your bias. if bad parents raised their kids better, it would absolutely be a great step. but that's not actually looking into the issue. it's just stating a given.
Re: Racist White Cops Rescue Drunk, Black Toddler
What bias? This isn't just "Oh, she's a bad parent"... Most black households have terrible parenting.
Re: Racist White Cops Rescue Drunk, Black Toddler
you're absolutely right that it would be taken more serious, and have more of an impact, if voiced by a black leader to a predominant black community. the same would be true of a white leader to a predominate white community.Jason wrote:Imagine if the majority of the black community raised their children normally... I don't know. About 40% of white voters went with Obama, compared to the 2 or 3% of blacks who voted against Obama.
Re: Racist White Cops Rescue Drunk, Black Toddler
why do "most black households have terrible parenting"? i keep asking, and you keep just going back to black parents are bad parents. so, it seems like bias.Jason wrote:What bias? This isn't just "Oh, she's a bad parent"... Most black households have terrible parenting.
Re: Racist White Cops Rescue Drunk, Black Toddler
Not fair to say most but most are one parent and that's got to be a challenge for anyone.Jason wrote:What bias? This isn't just "Oh, she's a bad parent"... Most black households have terrible parenting.

i never said that there will never be white guys that take the message seriously from a black guy. don't twist my words.Jason wrote:I don't know. About 40% of white voters went with Obama, compared to the 2 or 3% of blacks who voted against Obama.

Obama admitted this.Jason wrote:I don't know. About 40% of white voters went with Obama, compared to the 2 or 3% of blacks who voted against Obama.

Just saw a story about some white chick who let her daughters get raped while she smoked meth it's not a racial issue it's an addiction issue.
