Do you know everything she has alleged? You honestly believe police should not report a crime simply because another crime occurred?
A rapist is shot. Let's ignore the crime he was committing and focus on the thing we can play racial politics with?
Odds are his weed has nothing to do with her crime. Doesn't mean it does not get documented for a variety of reasons.
i want to know what she's alleging? i want to know if her intent was not just shooting an intruder in her home? l want to know if she meant to arrest him or some other thing that would make your argument fit?
i am not playing racial politics, but you are. the police can document his crime. it just shouldn't be leaked to the public and it should not play into the ruling on this case.
I am? How? Head is the person who brought race into it. Nothing in the facts suggests a racist component thus far.
Does the public have the right to know or not? Do you want media reporting or not? I would think the possession of illegal drugs or other contraband should always be noted. What if later her story changes? What if they had a relationship? Documenting facts could be the difference in him getting justice.
No matter what happened with his drug use, he is still dead at the hands of another. I want truth and justice, not a fairy tale where the victim is falsely portrayed.

It's a real shock to the system when you first interact with one. Just regular people doing a job. The sad thing is the Czechs tend to really disrespect them. I have seen people yelling at cops on the street and have been told by students that it's a regular occurrence for people to talk shit to them when they get pulled over. These people don't have a clue how good they have it sometimes. Especially the young people here who didn't live through or can't remember what it was like under Soviet rule, they have no perspective.
Or they have different perspectives than a tourist. I get treated a lot different than my girlfriend in Latin countries. I am the big rich American and she is the immigrant from the poor country trying to sneak in and overstay her visa.

That's literally how it is in America. lol.
Nah, cops are assholes there.
Generalization is never a good thing and I've never delt with Prague police but I have had dealings with plenty of douche European police and they have machine guns but like everywhere the vast majority are awesome people. A little respect and courtesy go along way

you brought it into the discussion we were having. and then tried to make it out that that played into my argument. which it doesn't, here.
if her story changes, that should absolutely be taken into account. why she changed her story. why she was dishonest at first, or is being dishonest now. document the facts. but don't use it to try to defend her or to shift the blame onto the victim, given what we know of the situation now. leaking it to the public only serves to shift the narrative and cloud things up. it doesn't serve the case at all, at this point.
you want to point the finger at the victim, as if his drug use played any part into her shooting him.

some are. and some aren't. my own experience with police has mostly been positive.

Machine guns that they don't fire.
They don't have to they are given proper respect. I know there are bad cops here maybe more than should be accepted or expected but this is a far more dangerous place to be a cop. I know places in the states one I live in that I can't see a possible way to be policed

I would challenge you to show me where I introduced race into this situation.
No one is shifting the blame. It is documenting the situation. There were illegal drugs there. I would think any reasonable person would expect contraband at a crime scene to be documented.
An investigation is done because there is a dead body and a shooting. The person who did the shooting is presumed innocent until a trial, a confession, or a plea. The has confessed to a homicide, but not to a crime that she has been charged with.
I am not sure how you expect to actually have a legal resolution to a situation if all you want to do is make assumptions based on media reports and one-sided accounts.

For every video of a questionable cop-related shooting, there are hundreds of videos of people being so blatantly disrespectful of police it is sickening. Respect is a two way street.
a. gathering all the information about the suspect and the victim, both good and bad, trying to verify stories and witness accounts and documenting everything
or
b. gather evidence with a conclusion already in mind. Ignore what does not fit the narrative.
Keep in mind, the suspect might say one thing now and another at trial and claim coercion or some other factor in differing accounts. The marijuana may well be introduced as evidence she is lying. If the evidence shows he was in the middle of rolling a joint in his underwear, that could undermine a story that he appeared to be doing something else.

you tried to make it about race to serve your argument.

Ok cool, so any time we discover kiddie porn or other crimes we don't bother noting it. In fact, we don't even investigate to discover the truth. All crimes are the same so intent doesn't matter. Killing someone trying to break into your home is exactly the same as executing someone because they are black. Amazing system.
i want to understand the situation. re-read my posts her stated intent was that of self defense because she mistook his home for her own. she claimed to not even know who he was, before shooting him. if you have some other info that would give reason for including his drug use into this case, please share it? otherwise it's just a way to attack his character and cloud the actual issue at hand.
i'm not making any assumptions. i'm just taking the case as it has been stated. i'm not trying to introduce irrelevant things into the case, to try to cloud it and divert attention away from it.

It is about truth, not convenience.
gather all the evidence. have it on record with the lawyers and with the police. make sure you follow procedure.
the case as i understand it to be: she entered a home that she thought her own, shot at someone she thought to be an intruder in her home. realized it was not her home, and then called for help. she claimed to not know the victim or his family. and had never been in the apartment before. those are the fact of this incident, as i know them to be. if you have more info, share it. let me know if something contradicts that, or she has claimed something different now?
otherwise, it would seem that nothing about him is relevant to this trial because she didn't even know him at all, based on what she has stated herself. again, if you know something, share it?

I have the greatest reason. The case is not settled. Until the case is settled, you document and consider all evidence because the person is innocent until proven guilty.
Serious question: Do you even know what the suspect is charged with?
