You haven't answered my question about who was better served to run the trade, criminals or legal corporations.Tiggnutz wrote:Do people needing a drink whore themselves, kill, steal? That's fine, but at some point would you mind actually responding to the points I make? Would at least make this a discussion.Tiggnutz wrote:With all due respect head we live in different places with different perspectives

I could give a shit about an addict getting caught with their drug of choice if it only effected them but it doesn't.

I believe there's definitely a genetic component to addiction but for the most part it's learned behavior. That's not to say there's actually anything you can do to curb thousands of years of people liking the stuff.Foo wrote:Do you think one person is born with the desire to be a junkie and the other has no desire? That being on a mass scale. Obviously individuals can be influenced, but the factors that make drugs acceptable to certain people will just evolve.Headhunter wrote:I believe there's definitely a genetic component to addiction but for the most part it's learned behavior. Absolutely I love debating you. For someone I've never met I thoroughly enjoy it. I have real heartfelt sympathy for people suffering from addiction it's not stuff I see on tv it's my own loss of friends it's commonplace where I am we just disagree on a cureHeadhunter wrote:That's fine, but at some point would you mind actually responding to the points I make? Re: Asian small business owner is arrested...
Are drug problems being dealt with effectively now? There's evidence suggesting legalization does not increase the population of addicts, so what is the issue? All I'm trying to do is reduce the violence. The associations with other criminal enterprises like gun runners and human traffickers. Is that not worthwhile?Tiggnutz wrote:Absolutely I love debating you. For someone I've never met I thoroughly enjoy it. If I could figure this out I would but it's just my opinion that while certain drugs should be legalized some shouldn'tHeadhunter wrote:And this isn't a reality already...how?Tiggnutz wrote:I could give a shit about an addict getting caught with their drug of choice if it only effected them but it doesn't.

You don't think it would be a positive step for drug cartels who deal in violence and intimidation to be eliminated out of necessity?Tiggnutz wrote:If I could figure this out I would but it's just my opinion that while certain drugs should be legalized some shouldn'tHeadhunter wrote:And this isn't a reality already...how?Tiggnutz wrote:I could give a shit about an addict getting caught with their drug of choice if it only effected them but it doesn't.

Drug users to continue to do drugs, shift law enforcement resources into rehabilitation and treatment, the people who run the trade aren't criminals.Tiggnutz wrote:Ok legalize all drugs what than?
Prague is extremely lax in dealing with both drugs and prostitution. They're not technically legal, but they're accepted. Do you realize how much easier that makes policing a city?

No because they will always be more efficient. They will lose money at first but they will adapt. Why are we rehabbing and treating people? Just let them go.

That too is a better alternative than locking them up.Foo wrote:Why are we rehabbing and treating people? Just let them go.
